on this computer---how I check the history....& if there's a way of deleting it? how long is the info there? if the computer is turned off is it still there?
On my computer, at least, I go to my toolbar at the top of my screen and click on one of the buttons (mine is next to my favorites button). It will show the history, starting with the most recent and yes, there is a way to erase the history. I'm not sure how, but I think my teen DD could tell you...

With Internet Explorer open, choose Tools then choose Internet Options. The General tab has a few options. Under Temporary Internet Files, chooses Delete Cookies and then Delete files. This could take a bit. FYI, if you delet cookies, you will have to log into the DIS the next time you visit.
After these are completed, choose Clear History. Then change the days in history to "0".
Do you have a button next to your favorites button that looks like a green arrow? If so click on that button. A screen should open up next to the right. That is your history. Scroll all the way up to the top and see you should be able to see if last weeks are there. I can go as far back as two weeks ago.
