Tell me all about Easter please...

Hi there,
Considering planning a trip the week prior to Easter. We are AP holders and have been to DL during the Summer (this past July), Halloween time, Christmas time and just got back a week ago. We have never been to DL during Easter so....tell me all about it, the good, the bad and the ugly.

1. Any special parades during this time?
2. Any Easter egg hunts at the parks?
3. Crowds?
4. Any special things to do during this time?

They actually don't do much at Easter at all to be honest.

That time around Easter (week before and week after) is quite crowded with Spring Breakers, but sounds like you've been to the park at crowded times before.

Some of the hotels I believe will do an Easter dinner, and I remember finding Easter egg-shaped sugar cookies at Pooh's Corner, but nothing too terribly specific for Easter. Nothing like for Halloween or Christmas.

I was there on Easter this year and crowds were lighter than I was anticipating - especially at night. There were crowds - but i was expecting worse. We weren't staying at one of their hotels and I honestly don't remember much in terms of decorations. Terry were unique items - we did get Easter pins. It was a day trip so I can't comment on crowds the week before but my understanding is that week is pretty crowded.

We've been at Easter a number of times. The spring break crowds are there, but other than that things are pretty ordinary. Some of the cookies are cut in Easter or springtime shapes, and there's usually some Easter themed merchandise in the stores. There used to be a lavish Easter buffet at the DLH, but that was canceled a few years back, and I'm not sure if there are any other special Easter meal offerings at the parks. No Easter egg hunts in the parks. I think there might have been some sort of egg hunt at the on-site hotels for hotel guests, but I'm not sure if they do that anymore either.

Thanks everyone...a little bummed to hear no Easter Egg Hunt...we are planning to stay at the DLH so does anyone know if they have an egg hunt? Or maybe at the GC?
Oh, do they have a fireworks show? Or fantasmic?

Fireworks and Fantasmic usually run during that time. DL should be open 8 AM - midnight, and I expect DCA will be open 8 AM - 10 PM or 11 PM.
