What size shower stall do you have and do you like it? We are planning the remodel of our home, gutting the one existing bath and creating another bath out of stolen inches;).

The plan right now is to have the master bath shower be 36" by 60". I just found an antique medical cabinet that I want to squeeze into the other bath and I can do it if I steal 12" from the master bath's shower making it 36" by 48". Is that too small?

Also does anyone have marble in their shower? How is it holding up? We're planning on Statuary marble. It is whitest marble we could find with a tight grain (china white is whiter but it has large crystals and therefore crumbles easier) Hope I haven't bored anyone. Thanks.

We will shortly be doing the same thing. So with that in mind I paid close attention to the shower stall we had in a hotel room recently. It was about 36' x 36' and it was comfortable to shower in, and trust me I'm not a small person, I'm tall and fluffy. So 36' x 48' should be fine.

As neither my wife nor I were really bath people, when our house was built instead of a soaking tub and a small shower stall in the master bathroom we had only a shower put in. It is about 7½ feet long by 4½ feet wide. It has one shower head on the long wall and one on the short wall. The back end is a seat about 1½ feet deep and also there are grab bars on both walls.
