Tell Me about Your Building at CSR

We'll also be at CSR in Dec. Does anyone know how good they are at granting building requests? I would really like to be in Casitas 3, but could live with Cabanas 9b or 8a. Living in Texas I really don't like the look of the Ranchos, besides which my mom will be with me and will have an ECV, which means we probably wouldn't be able to use the interresort transportation, so I'd have some long walks from the Ranchos. We would really like to be as close as possible to the main buildings. It looks like it's a beautiful resort (except for the Ranchos). We'll be doing a split stay between POFQ and CSR. Can't wait!

They seemed to be granting them for our visit. I faxed them with a request for Cabana 9A (and got 9B). Also called Disney Travel and had them put the request in the computer.

I'd say if you are driving a lot the Ranchos might be better, they are closer to the parking lot and also maybe have more elevators? I only saw one elevator in all of Cabana 9B. Also the walkways around the Cabanas are sort of narrow--we could not get past a maid cart with our stroller.

We just got back from an 8 night stay at CSR in Casitas 4. We loved our location. Our room was on the 4th floor, no noise at all. The pool was seconds away and we loved the quiet pool. Most days there were only several other people using it so we almost felt like it was our private pool.

The walk around the lake is beautiful; we went for one early morning walk, and one late evening walk. The courtyards in the casitas are beautiful; as soon as I download my pics, I'll post some.

Our last stay at CSR was in the Ranchos. I did prefer the Casitas because they seemed quieter.

The only thing that could have been a problem was one afternoon, the quiet pool was taken over by conventioneers on a free day. The worst part about it was that after they left, we discovered lots of cigarette butts on the ground around the tables and beer bottles left on the tables. I know most convention goers don't act that way but this group (a jewelry convention) seemed a bit "un-disney-like".

I agree about the Jewelers and their cigarettes.
