Tell me about WL ...Is it nice?

Honestly, I wouldn't do a "Plan". I've been to WDW over 10 times-5 times to WL . Plans are overpriced and include things you either don't have time for or are too excessive -like 3 big sit down meals a day.

Just book your room through WDW, buy your tickets when you check in and put them on your room key, and start enjoying the magic.

It's just beautiful. Pictures do NOT do this place justice!! The pool areas are so beautiful and relaxing. Last trip, we spend MUCH more area at the resort than we ever do. If you want a quiet corner to read, just sit down by the beach. Yes, the main pool is on the smaller side. But, the resort is also the smallest deluxe. We found the boat to MK, FW, and CR so convenient and easy. When we wanted to go to Concourse Steakhouse for dinner, it was just a quick "hop".

Can you tell me about the courtyard view? This is my first time at the WL and I just want to know as much as possible! Also, my fam loves to go out for a nice steak dinner, does any of the WL restaurants have such a thing? Thanks for all the info!

2 "flavors" of courtyard view. The "inner" which is of the main pool area and the "outer/villa's" which is of the quiet pool and villa's. We had a "outer" during our trip. While it was a LOVELY view, I do not think it was worth the courtyard price.

Steak dinner: You can get a "bbq" type at Whispering Canyon or a "fancier" one at Artist Point. We had a couple of meals at AP during our stay. It is a lovely resturant, but the portions are small, very small. You can get a much better meal if you take the small boat over to CR and eat at the Concourse Steakhouse. The ride is less than 5 minutes. (P.S. WC is nice, but it's more bbq foods plus, well, )

WL is my family's favorite resort! We tried AKL last time, and all of us were so disappointed. We will definitely be going back to WL next time! Be sure to ask when you check in if your family can be the "flag family". Your kids will love this and so will you!

Let me start out by saying that I hate the outdoors. My grass has not been mowed for 2 weeks hahaha. I have stayed at many of the resorts now including the twice as expensive beach club and the AKL and WL is by far my favorite. As soon as you enter the main checkin point you can feel the magic. I am going there for 6 nights in just 3 weeks and can hardly wait.

We have stayed at WL I think it was in 96. My two DD's loved it. At that time they were 11 and 8. We got a room with the bunkbeds. Your kids will love it.

You will not be disappointed. Our first stay at the WL was in July and it is absolutely breathtaking. As many people have said here, the pictures do not do this place justice. My daughter is 10 and she loved it too! Whispering Canyon is a restaurant you must eat at. We were kind of hesitant because of the whooping and hollering but it was the funnest dinner we've ever had. I don't think we've laughed so hard in our lives. We booked a standard room and have no view at all (except of a roof top). Next time, we've decided to spend the extra $$ and book a woods view. We enjoyed morning stolls around the property when it was nice and quiet. Also regarding the pool slide, it was perfect for us. It might not be the fanciest slide but we are coming to Disney to swim at the hotel pool anyway.

Bottom line....you will love it!!! We are planning to go back!
