Tell me about the Wine add on

I am thinking of adding the wine option to my dining plan but I can't find a lot of information about it. Do both people have to have it so we would end up with 2 bottles per night or can we just do the 35.00 for one bottle? We are doing Deluxe Dining and with restaurants like Narcosies and Jiko in our plans I was thinking that the wine plan was the way to go. Thanks so much.

I think the wine and dine plan is $39.99 per night per room. Not per person. So if you have 2 adults in a room they would get 1 wine credit per night. I was in California Grill and Narcosees recently, and looked at the wine list. Bottles (before tax) up to $50-55 were 1 credit. Bottles from $50-55 to $100 were 2 credits. Most bottles were at least $40 and the wine credit pays your tax (but not tip). You'd probably want to focus on bottles >$80 if you are using 2 credits. So as long as you want 1 bottle per room per night (fewer if you buy a 2 credit bottle) you can break even or save money on the plan. Also, I can't imagine that they wouldn't let you share a bottle with someone not on the plan at the same table.
