We are thinking about visiting Universal next July, staying onsite and want to spend time at the pool since its so hot in the summer. Which one is best? My kids will be 10 and 12 and love to swim and do water slides....

THanks!

HRH and PBH have water slides. My kids (11&16) have said they prefer HRH (underwater speakers and basketball hoop) but spend more time in the pool at RPR (largest pool in Orlando) playing volleyball.

Can someone comment on the pool depth at HRH? Also pool depth specificaly around the water slide.

Thanks

One good thing is that no matter which on-site hotel you are at, you'll have privileges at all three.

HRH pool is the shallowest

depth at slide like 3'9"

So you can get into any pool if you are staying onsite.......do you just walk in or have to show them something? Just wondered.

If it's busy you might be asked to show a room key and possibly get a wrist band.

we stayed at RPR and i loved our pool. it was crowded in the middle of the day but evenings were great. there isn't a slide so i took the kids over to HRH one day. they loved the pool here better if you are looking for kids' opinions. i didn't like it much for me because the water was too shallow to swim and i kept scraping my knees just trying to stay under the water. we all really got sunburned over there that day but as for the kids. they absolutely said that it was the best pool between the 2. they loved the slide and because the water wasn't deep by the slide, i didn't have to stay by the slide every minute. the kids and people also seemed more friendly there. the kids loved it also because the life guards took a real liking to them and let them run the slide. also while we were there that day, there were alot of pool games for the kids. i didn't see any at RPR. so i guess if you are looking for what your kids will like best, my vote would be the pool at HRH. sorry i can't help on PB. we only popped over to take a peek and it was pretty deserted so we didn't stay long.

They didn't say. I had called specifically about breakfast at the Kitchen (staying at RPR) and they told me when you stay onsite you have privileges at all 3 hotels, pools, exercise areas, etc.

I'd think the room key would suffice as the previous poster said.

We have pool hopped before and the room keys at PBH wouldn't get us in the door at HRH. It wasn't long before a guest came and let us in. My son tried to get a towel and they wanted to see a room key and he was too chicken to show the key from the other resort.

We have only stayed at RPR but have pool hopped to both HRH and PBH's beach pool. We walked into the HRH pool through the lobby and showed our RPR key to the attendant in the towel cabana who then gave us a wristband and towels. We could also charge drinks and food from the HRH beach club to our room. Same thing at PBH. We did not have to get a wristband at PBH. Our kids like all 3 pools for different reasons. They love to swim at RPR due to it being deeper and much larger than the other 2 pools. They also enjoy the volleyball and playing on the ship. They also like the PBH slide more than the HRH slide. HRH is very shallow.
