Tell me about the cookies

Love the cookies..
so I got the recipe!:goodvibes

Gotta have them with hot chocolate!

Ann ::yes::

Ok, I've heard a lot about the chocolate chip cookies you can get on the cruise. Yet none of the posts mentions one important criteria for cookies.

Are they crunchy or soft (bend before breaking)?

I'm really curious as I would hate to order the cookies and then not eat them. I know that sounds strange, but I hope someone will let me know.

Thanks!

.....do ya dunk your cookies in da milk or does ya eat yer cookies sans milk??
:scratchin

I heard a lot about the cookies before my cruise. Got them from room service, got them at Goofy's Galley. I wasn't impressed.
However, I am also in the group of folks that LIKED the lobster burgers on Castaway Cay. A lot of others didn't.

I have to agree the warm cookies on the galley tour were really good, the ones at room service NOT so much.

I am one of a small minority that prefer sugar cookies to chocolate chip.

Does DCL have other types of cookies to enjoy?

On our 3-night wonder we ordered cookies and milk every night from room service, but much to the disappointment of DD (then 4), only one night they had chocolate chip cookies. The other nights we were told no choc. chip, and they brought oatmeal raisin or macadamia nut. Reading these posts, I'm hoping that was just unusual and maybe we'll have more luck getting chocolate chip this time...DD is talking a lot about ordering cookies and milk at night. It's one of the things she's most looking forward to this time!

Oatmeal raisin, according to my DD.
I liked the Oatmeal Raisin cookies too, but I seem to remember reading that they are no longer available.:confused3

I found a great way to enjoy the "hard" chocolate chip cookies. Put a couple in a bowl then put the vanilla softserve over them.

We're an oatmeal raisin bunch. We ended up liking them so much I had to bring some home for my friends that were not on this most recent trip :)

I wasn't a fan of the cookies either. They seemed overcooked and even our galley tour cookie was hard and cold. There was plenty of other good food to enjoy though!

No THAT is a good idea! :thumbsup2

.

How much is the galley tour?

Last time it cost us $3,000 for the four of us. ;) There is no charge for the tour, it's one of those included things like soda as long as you get a ticket from GS for it.

Please tell me this isn't true. Those cookies were my favorite thing to order late night! I liked the chocolate chip ones, but not as much as the oatmeal raisin.

DCL has THE best chocolate chip cookies! Great, now I'm craving one and I don't cruise for another 5 weeks!
