I would not describe the food at "Tangierine" Cafe as spicy at all. We found the meatballs to be greasy and the sandwiches a little messy, but not spicy.

The wraps were definitely a bit messy, but nothing I had (chicken wrap, lentil salad, couscous) was spicy in the least. What they have is very light and uncomplicated in terms of flavor. Also cool and refreshing--great to eat on those really hot summer days.

One of our favorites for a break from "theme park food" in Epcot. The platters are generous, food is tasty and seasoned, but not hot spicy at all. I agree the meatball platter is a bit greasy, but the chicken or lamb platters are good. Hummus, tabouleh, lentil salad, etc. are not gourmet, but much better than one would expect from a fast food location. I have to get my baklava from the pastry counter each and every trip!

They have sample platters of fake food in the case near the ordering station so you can get an idea of what you are getting.

Moroccan food is not spicy as in "hot" spicy like Mexican, it just has different flavors & spices. Which I LOVE! Tangierine Cafe is a MUST on every trip. I always get the same thing - the Vegetable Platter which is hummus, bread, tabouleh, lentil salad, marinated olives & cousoucs. Then baklava or some delicious dessert. OMG YUM! I love to sit away from the main restaraunt - go all the way to the back by the pastry counter & turn left. There is a small alcove with 3 tables back there, and from there you can look out to the shops in Morocco, and hear the music.

Nope, not spicy at all...very tasty. We loved the Shawarma Combo Platter and the portions were very big for the price. It's definitely a must for us next time!

Probably my favorite CS at WDW. Love the chicken Shawarma Platter. Very flavorful, and like PP's said, a nice break both in atmosphere and type of food.

Can't wait to eat there in June! :thumbsup2

The Shwarma Platter is enough to feed two and for counter service, it's darn tasty. It's Morrocan food with Americanized spicing, not at all the intensity of spice you would find in an authentic Morrocan setting. I make sure to eat there every time we're in Epcot!

so is the chicken and lamb in a sandwich form or is it eaten with a fork. i am just confused. Also, what is lamb like.

No, not spicy at all. It's actually my favorite Epcot CS location. The chicken is very moist there and I love the salads that come with the platters. I also love baklava and their baklava is so good. Rich, sweet, and sticky; not dry at all.

I know I'm in the minority here - BUT I really don't get the hype over this place. We went 2 years ago and I found the food greasy and bland. And the service slow as he;;. Last year I went for F&WF at it was our least favorite booth there. Again bland, although this time it was also very dry almost stale tasting. Like they can't seem to get it right. :sad2: Never again for us.

They don't have any tangerines there. The food is OK, but not fantastic.

we liked the food there -- not "hot" spicy at all, more light flavors. Here's the lamb & chicken platter - this was delicious.

here's the saffron rice and lamb meatballs (agree this was not the best- saffron rice tastes like plain rice, and the meatball/sauce was greasy)

we are going in May and I don't think we would have eaten here if it weren't for these boards! now we are planning on it! Thanks!

It's really inexpensive to eat lunch there - so all I can say is try it - for $10 you can split a platter & get 2 drinks. Worst case you don't like it & throw it out, you're only down $10. I'm guessing you will be hooked like most of the rest of us!

I've never tried the lamb or chicken meals - as a general rule I don't eat the meat at WDW CS....too many times I've had to try & figure out what it was :confused3.

TC is a must do for me...no it isnt spicy at all, just full of flavor.

DH usually eats the meatballs with saffron rice, but he still doesnt know they are lamb and not meat :scared1: and I will never tell the poor lad because he loves them so much!:rotfl:

I usually get the falafel wrap which is just ground chick peas and herbs fried up served with a yogurt cucumber sauce, tomatoes, onions and lettuce in a flatbread. The lentil salad is served cold, the hummus is AWESOME, nice and garlicky. The couscous is very cinnamony with raisins in it. DH loves the marinated olive salad. The taboulleh is awesome to, lots of fresh herbs

Great place, no spicy!

I don't want to burst your bubble but "Lamb" is meat! It just goes Bah! instead of Moo! :lmao:

Ordered from there many times until December where they served me one of lamb wraps and the meat was cold. Never had the meat served cold before. It was sort of gross. I will be sticking with the veggie platter now.

Definately not spicy, as in hot..but LOTS of yummy flavor. The lamb/chicken platter was by far the best counter service meal we had last year. It was outstanding. And definately PLENTY enough for DH and I to share. I cannot wait to go back in June.
