DH entered their contest and we won a 3 night bahamian cruise with airfare. We just need to go and listen to a 45 min informational meeting about their company to get our certificate for the cruise. We are scheduled to go tonight so I'd love to hear if you ever won and how it went for you. Oh we get to travel on Royal caribbean's monarch of the seas or carnival's sensation. Which would you go on? We only have done Disney Cruises.

Everybody who enters their contest wins. I entered to win a car at the mall and so did several people who were shopping with me. We all won the cruise. I decided not to attend their presentation and they kept calling and were really pushy.
I'd love to hear how the presentation goes and if they actually give you the cruise as they say. It's hard to believe that they can give cruises to all the people who come to the presentations whether or not they sign up for their vacations.

We won too! Well, my DH did and I threatened him with divorce if he ever signs up for anything again...:lmao:

OP ~ Google Sundance Vacations to get a better idea of what they are about. They are a high pressure time share company. There is also a page on Facebook called Boycott Sundance Vacations.

I did Google them and the only thing negative I found was that boycott Sundance Facebook page. All I read in that was for people who bought into it and have had problems. We will definitely not be buying not matter what. If we won't buy DVC we sure will not be buying what they are selling.

I am interested to see how it goes. Based on your experiences I might try to "win" too. Please let us know how it goes.

Well doing more research online I found out how hard it is to actually book your "free cruise" and I was able to convince DH to have us not go. We are going to just not show up for our scheduled time and see if they call us or not. If they do we'll let them know we aren't interested.

You can imagine my surprise walking through Wal-Mart and getting a phone call that I had just won a brand new Lincoln Navigator...

I drove home wondering where to park the new car, but completely forgot about that as I did a Google search on Sundance Vacations.

It's a scam.

If they call just tell them that you only make $xxxx a year (some low amount) and don't think you can afford a timeshare right now, guaranteed they won't call you back again

These cruise scams have been around for years. Re your post about how hard it is to actually book, this complaint about that from a poster on one of the complaint boards shows their SOP:

I could not wait to take my cruise, as I have not been on a vacation in 4 years and I was willing to spend the $675 to go. Well I recently called and they told me the only day I could go was September 24th and we would leave out of Columbus (I live in Cleveland). My chosen dates were May, June and July. Of course none of these months were available as the other consumers said. I asked if we could pick another date and she said this was the only option I had or I have to back out of the deal.

From what I've read in most of those complaints, you get a voucher and then have to give them a couple hundred dollar reservation "deposit" and (3) dates you're interested in for them to check out. Of course your dates never seem to be available and then they give you a date you must travel on - or else. If their date is not good for you, too bad, they say they've met their obligation by offering a date, so the offer is now void - and good luck in getting your "deposit" back.

Notice also in the complaint, the price zoomed from "Free" to $675 in fees, taxes, etc., and note that the airport was also chosen by the company. There's other complaints of people having to drive hours to get to the airport they choose for you, or they have you fly into a different city than the cruise departs from, so you're stuck paying for roundtrip transportation from the arrival city they used to get to/from the ship.

Hmmm though maybe DeltaDiamond001 would drive you to the cruise in their new Navigator :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

Sorry, but if you'd like roundtrip transport service in my Navigator, you have to sit through a six hour seminar about the reasons you should get one of your own, and somehow drastically overpay for it in the process... :lmao: :sad2:
