I have always wanted to try this place, yet never have. I am thinking about dinner. It would be myself, my DH, and our two DDs ages 16 and 11.

What do you like and dislike?

There's nothing I disliked about my 3 trips to Spoodles. 2 for dinner, 1 for breakfast. I like the atmosphere, the location, the food, the service - It has always been a pleasure to dine there.
I really enjoy the mediterranean flavours.

While I am not a big breakfast eater, they were happy to make me a nice big bowl of cheese & garlic grits with bacon, even tho it wasn't on the menu. That speaks volumes to me. Not that it was a hard dish to prepare for me, but the willingness & positive attitude with which they did so was much appreciated.

Loved Spoodles as did my DH, DSis, DD13, DD11 and DS10! The kids enjoyed smoothies. We all enjoyed our appetizers (Mediterranean dips & pita, lamb skewers) and the dinners were great too. I agree that the atmosphere, location and service were all memorable. Definitely will return! ::yes::

We would definitely go back although not every trip. The food was very good. I had a salmon dish. I think my husband had paella and liked it. My only complaint was the flatbread. We may have ordered the wrong one because the cheese one at the next table looked delicious. Ours had too much on it and was soggy. The boardwalk is fun to walk after dinner. Have fun!

We go to Spoodle's for dinner at least once every trip. We love their breakfast, too.

The cheese flatbread is like heaven on a plate! My DD23 is already talking about it and our trip is still 2 months away. I have never had anything there I didn't like, but the filet is my favorite. The desserts are wonderful, too.

The servers are wonderful, very friendly and the decor is really unique with a great theme. We like to sit near the windows and watch the people on the boardwalk.

It was so good that DH INSISTED that we go back again for our next trip. Of course I think he's just partial to the Blue Spoodles, but...

We loved our meal there. DW had the mussels app. and it was huge, easily enough for two. I had the chile rubbed shrimp and they were terriffic. DW had the Salmon for dinner and it was perfect as was my rigatoni pasta dish with sausage and mushrooms. And of course you have to have a Blue Spoodle (or two).

Just to add...

The dinners we enjoyed were:

......the Salmon - DSIL said it was so good, and she does not eat salmon

......the Vegetable entree - I can't remember what it was, but I remember you liked it a lot

......the Paella - this was so tasty that I can't wait to go back

The kids all had mac & cheese, and liked it. They also tasted the dips and skewers. Each of them found a dip they liked.

Unfortunately, with the appetizers and the large portions of entree, we were not able to partake of dessert.

We love Spoodles a lot. We always eat there at least once on every trip. I had there salmon last December and it was fantastic. We always start our dinners with a flatbread , they are so good.

Although I really enjoyed this place in 2002, I was disappointed in 2003. The pasta dish I enjoyed had changed and it was not as tasty as before. Also, I found it to be louder in 2003. The worst part was being seated next to a table with 4 mom's with 6 toddlers who spent 20 minutes screaming, knocking things over, crawling all over the floor, eating food that had been dropped on the floor, and running around the restaurant, while the mom's were just chatting away. The waitress finally had to approach the table regarding all of this, since she had received complaints from the surrounding tables. After another 10 minutes of being oblivious to their children, they finally left and I felt so bad for the waitress and the person busing the table, that I left more than I usually do for a tip.

For a great dining experience, I'd recommend the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club.

We had a great meal at Spoodles in August. The service wasn't great, considering it wasn't busy yet, but the food and atmosphere more than made up for the service. Next time, we want to go just for appetizers and drinks.

We did Spoodles the first time last trip and will definitely do it again. I wanted to try a little of everything so we both ordered several appetizers and desserts. Boy did we get full. I loved the atmosphere and like the other poster said walking it off afterwards on the boardwalk.

Sound like it's worth a try this year DVC Jen (aka DW) :D

Hey! I found you on the boards! Fancy that :bounce:
