What did you buy at Disney world while souvenir shopping? How much did it cost? Please show pics if you have them. :cool1:

Gosh ... lots of stuff. I bought a snow globe that I love ... it sits on my desk at work. I also love things that will go in my scrapbook like postcards, etc. My daughter has charms for her charm bracelet. I love picture frames, big and small. Also love to get Photopass photos taken and try to buy the ride photos. At least oen sweatshirt or t-shirt is a must! I like to buy pens to write with too because they are inexpensive and a fun memory to have at home or school.

We always get a photopass photo, last year it was infront of the castle with tink in our hands and me 13 weeks pregnant. This year we will do it again with a 5 1/2 month old. We always get a sweatshirt or t-shirt and something Disney for our kitchen. Last year it was another set of the mickey forks and knives sets.

Cool. I'm just trying to get ideas of what people buy while there since I'm just not sure.

DH and I collect magnets when we go. We try to get one of the attractions if possible. This last trip we actually got Space Mountain, which I thought was pretty cool since it's an old ride. And we have some of the resorts we've stayed and the parks, too.

OH MY GOSH! SHOPPING AT DISNEY!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

We buy tshirts, magnets, stickers, photo albums, hats, pins, charms for my bracelets, jewelry, (silver), candy, JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT WE CAN AFFORD!

But, we did buy a really nice snow globe with the castle and Tink on top, (bout 130.00) and that was a splurge. We also bought some Christmas Ornaments. One is Cinderella and Prince Charming and the matching Gold Carriage. That was a splurge too. That is about the most expensive ones we bought.

We also get postcards, pressed pennies and little inexpensive things. Trinkets, etc.

THEN WE COME HOME BROKE!!! :Pinkbounc

We like souvenirs from the countries in World Showcase. So far we've gotten a (pick-a) pearl necklace and kimono from Japan, beer stein from Germany, troll from Norway, animal figurine from Mexico, silk scarf from China, and golf towel from UK.

I seem to buy things that don't necessarily scream Disney. The countries in Epcot have some great shopping - especially Japan. They have some unusual ceramic plates and bowls. They also have tons of Hello Kitty items that I've not seen anywhere else. We also enjoy buying cadbury chocolate from England. In fact, we tend to buy candy from almost all the countries. Canada has beautiful blown glass ornaments ($15). Mexico has a blown glass aritsan who makes just about everything and the prices vary. It's fun to watch them work. I always get so many compliments on the things I've bought in the countries.

I also like to buy a Disney Christmas ornament with the year on it so I can look at it and remember our trip. If you have a chance to visit resorts, Animal Kingdom has some great jewelry and wonderful teak serving utensils ($20). I'd love to get a matching salad bowl this trip if they have any.

I just calmed myself down and now I'm all excited again. We're leaving next week for the World!

Just look in my SIG at the TINK ROOM

70% of that came from when we were on vacation .It runs the gambit from $1 to several hunderd if counting my watches. But with each one is a very good memory.

We always get something that represents our resort. We got a wooden giraffe statue when we stayed at AKL, and Mardi Gras looking mask wall hanging from POFQ, and this year we will get something Mexican inspired from CSR. Also, I want a Mickey shaped Chip and Dip bowl. I think they have them at Downtown Disney. It's really cute, a white head shaped bowl with 2 black ear shaped bowls.

Besides the typical T-shirts for my DS, we bought a coffee mug (the one with all the characters for The Happiest Celebration on Earth), scrapbooking supplies, Tinkerbell keychain w/Cindy's castle was on sale for $3, cookbook, assortment of candies for co-workers, coffee & cocoa, picture frame (also bought a really cute one for $5 which was a promotion when you spent $40 or more) pins, Christmas ornament...

I have a few things that I like to get each trip: a new coffee mug (usually under $15), a few magnets (I guess those are about 3 or 4 dollars) and some Christmas ornaments (I usually stick to about $10/each, sometimes less, sometimes more, especially if I get one personalized with all of our names and the year) I like t-shirts and sweatshirts, but I don't get one every year. Some of my friends already think my entire wardrobe is from WDW! LOL :rotfl2:

Oh man. I bought tons of stuff.

At World of Disney that have *tons* of great clothes... I got a purple thermal (my new favorite trend lmao) that says Walt Disney World in corner, a 3 pack of underwear with little mickey heads on them (they're super cute haha), 2 rings (one looks like a ring Johnny Depp wears in the movie, the other is just a metal band with mickeys on it) and a PotC bracelet. I got a PotC bag, and a little stuffed Yeti and the Expedition Everest shop. So cute! And then some other crap I don't need, like a big Eeyore pillow, Imangineer Roller Coaster game for my laptop, Mr. Potato Head, and the PotC book by Jason Surrell. Woohoo. Oh, how could I forget?!

Charms!! I always buy charms... they had new PotC charms this year!!

If only they could get Splash Mountain charms... :sad2:

My mom got that bowl! It's adorable... we used it at her birthday party last weekend, and she was happy since we had just gotten back and it reminded her of Disney World. :goodvibes She also got those little bowls with the red, black, and yellow mickey heads with the matching pitcher.

The best souvenir for us is the PhotoPass CD -- I'd use the money for trinket souvenirs toward the $99 cost of that, becuase it has the best memories of all of us together with characters and at WDW scenic spots (then there's another $20-30 to get prints made at home). We look for the photopass photogs, and really ham it up to get cute photos (and a few "straight" ones).
There are several threads about PhotoPass -- you can do a search if you need to learn more.
