Tell me about Royal Pacific - any booking tips?

We are Disney nutters who will be staying at Royal Pacific for a couple nights. Wanted to know any tips you had if you stayed there. Are there any special requests we should make? We requested Tower 1 and a park view. What are your thoughts for this newbie Universal person...?

I agree with you with Tower One, the views are either pool view (extra charge) or park view (no extra charge). No freeway views like the other towers.

You can also take the stairs down and have a scenic short walk to the parks rather than wait for the boats which can be busy in the morning.

We also like the Orchard Court just off the lobby for a light breakfast. A lot less expensive than the breakfast buffet and who wants that when your next stop is the Hulk coaster! They have sushi at night too.

Jake's American Bar is also a place we like for dinner, service is good and not too pricy.

As far as Citywalk, Margerittaville is fun and the burgers great. While I don't like the atmosphere of NBA City, the food there is very good. Make sure you eat lunch at Mythos too.

the rooms are assigned a few days prior.

call and request again the tower you want and view.

make sure it is noted on your file.


it is the same type of set up disney uses in assigning rooms.




check out the rph website in the UO website.
it explains the entire hotel with pictures included.

you can walk, take a water taxi, bus or rickshaw to the parks/city walk from the rph.

the pool at rph does not have a slide.
you can pool hop to the other on site hotels for their pools.
it is encouraged.

Thanks guys! Universal is completely new to me as everytime we come to FL we go to Disney. Now that the kids are a little older - we figured we would try Universal.
Thanks for the tip - will check out the Hotel site...
