Tell me about rewards

Since I don't post here but I am a member of the Rewards/Rumors team for the game I started to lurk a bit. I have to admit I know nothing about how the whole rewards things work. Can anyone give me the quick run down on how this works? No links or referrals cause I know thats not allowed. But I am interested in what goes on here. (thats what lurking does...it draws you in)

Any facts would be appreciated.
