Hi Gina
We have stayed in the mansions twice. I don't know all the names, but was it Acadia? I think that is one of the ones I have stayed in.
It wasn't very convienient to the food court. You will have to work your way out of the mansion, over the river, through the pool area and then over another bridge. About a 10 minute leisurely walk. The grounds at POR are beautiful! The walk is very enjoyable! I loved the food court here, but I have heard it is a little different now.
I remember our room was hard to find when we arrived. We couldn't find a sign directing us to the rooms. But there is one on the corner of each building at the parking lot end. We didn't see this until the next morning after we walked around the building in the dark.
The mansions are beautiful. Full, sweeping staircases, just like a southern mansion. Some of the courtyards have water fountains. One of them has a rose garden with benches, great for your morning coffee.
The rooms are a good size. 2 double beds, double sink, not much drawer space. Safe, iron & board are standard. The tub was neat, at the end of the tub, there is a shelf that you could actually sit on if you wanted. Great for holding all your tolietries.
We have never used the buses, we always drive. But there are bus stations throughout the property.
Definately check out Piano Bob in the lounge one evening. Pure disney entertainment!!!
You can also take a boat to DTD. Great alternative to buses.
This is my absolute favorite moderate!
Take sometime to stroll the grounds in the early morning. So peaceful!
Have a magical time!
