This will be our first trip in a LONG TIME, when were there last it was only US. We have 2 kids, 7 & 4, 7 year old is a roller coast junkie so she will have a GREAT time. We are staying at RPH for 2 nights, Oct. 13-15. Will we be able to get a lot done since we have FOTL????? We wont be doing the Halloween party, too scarey. I hope to be able to get rides done and spend some time at the pool, is this possible?

Give me all the dirt on October :sunny:
thanks

Just bumping this thread - have always gone in May but school holidays dictate that we go October 2007!

FOTL will give you TONS of time, and swim time also. Last Oct. My son and I were able to do parks all day, then swim, then dinner, then swim or a movie. One huge note: NO more "regular" express lines. We just came back, and the only express passes were the $35 buy-in or hotel. Regular day guests were stuck waiting for every attraction. We were still able to accomplish more than Disneyw/ fastpasses, due to crowds by using single rider.
Univers :cool1: al July 5th -13th & Oct. 13-16th.

We were there last October for 5 nights at PBH Club level and then 4 nights at GF.

It was just DW and me for a anniversary get away. The parks were great and PBH's service was superb!

Have fun! :thumbsup2

Oct. 4-9, PBH. Planning on doing the Disney Halloween Party on the 5th as the Universal one is a little too intense for our crowd.

We have been there for several Octobers. Last Oct. was an extended visit due to the hurricanes. We have ressies for Oct. 13-16th at RPR. I'm not sure if it is statewide but our schools are out the 16th. The parks close early due to HHN at 5 or 6 pm. FOTL will get you through both parks with ease. The day time attendance is light but the nights are crazy. Friday the 13th might be extra crazy?
It likely will not rain. It is a little cooler but still able to swim and do water rides comfortably. I'm not sure what ya'll are looking for as far as dirt so let me know any questions.

Thanks Everyone

MotherFletcher
I was jut checking to make sure FOTL will help us, my kids are 7 & 4 and hoped that we would be able to spend a few hours at the parks AND have swim time. We will be there Friday and Saturday, then coming back for the day on Monday.

Can we do baby swap and if so will they let my daughter ride twice? once with me and once with dh?
Thanks again

We're there from the 22nd to the 29th. With the last 3 days onsite (RPR). This is our first stay onsite, we can't wait!!! Definately doing HHN, as our son going along will be 19 by then. This is our first HHN also. Thanks to these boards, I am learning how to get the most out of our stay! :thumbsup2

FOTL is the best. The way we do it is to visit the park from opening until around noon, eat lunch, return to the room and change into swimwear or fast dry clothes and head back to IOA for the water rides which we end up doing over and over with FOTL, then return to RPR for some pool time in the largest pool in the City of Orlando.

You will have plenty of time with FOTL to do parks and pool. We do it with me & my 5 guys all 19 -23 so it can be done.

This will be our 3rd trip in Oct. We do HHN but also love the coasters. We are doing Oct 26 to 29, just wating for tix to go on sale.

During the morning/early afternoon, crowds are very light. You barely need FOTL until the afternoon. Around 4pm the park shuts down and you can feel a change in the air. That's when you can go back to the room and do the pool thing.

We will be there Oct 11 - 15 - Club HRH - so excited! Never been to Universal Orlando, only Hollywood have only done DW on our other trips, this time we are also trying SW on the 10th. DH and DS 12 are doing HHN on Friday the 13th but DD 9 and I will be attending the Dive In Movie. I'm looking forward to this being the relaxing time of our vacation as we at DW for 11 days prior to all this. I just wish the parks were open a little later. Doesn't give much opportunity to enjoy the club happ hour. :smooth:

I have been the last 3 Octobers and have found the parks very manageable (even uncrowded at times) on days that HHN is going on. Since you have front of the line, hit the parks early and in the afternoons when the parks start to fill up with the Horror night ticket holders head for the pool. You will have a great vacation and plenty of pool time plus you will have no problem seeing everything. I love the on-site hotels!

How do you think the crowds will be without FOTL for the day only around 10/20. We will be at the Food and Wine Festival and I am shocked at the Loews rates for that time? (since I will still be poor from a September Trip to MNSSHP)

My husband and I are going to Universal October 20 - 23. I am bummed that the parks close so early :confused3

We are 27 years old. Do you suggest we go to Halloween Horror Nights?

Also, which hotel do think is better for us to stay at? Embassy Suites or Radisson Celebration?

We also plan on visiting EPCOT one day while we are there.

THANKS!
