Tell me about New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at WDW.

How crazy is it?

What kind of festivities are happening at that time?

What can I expect?

My parents are considering spending some time in FL visiting my grandfather and at the same time having a bit of a family reunion right around the New Year. As to not bore the younger demographic my parents are considering spending New Year's Eve/Day at WDW. I have heard that New Year's Eve/Day are CrAZZY!!! , but honestly, is it do-able?

The group of us have visited numerous time throughout our lives and thus are not Disney rookies, but we will be New Year's Eve/Day rookies.

Having been to WDW on Jan. 2nd/3rd. I know from experience that it is nearly dead then. Thus, I am not sure if I should push my family to blow some vacation right from the get go of the year or should I go with the flow and experience WDW over the New Year holiday.

Help! :bounce: :wizard: :Pinkbounc

Well for starters, January 2 and 3 are far from dead ... the parks were very crowded those days this past year. And with New Years Day falling on a Monday next year, I expect even more crowds that week. As far as being there New Years Eve, the parks will be packed to the gills, as it's supposedly the most crowded day of the year. You'll need to be at a park early in the day so as to not risk being turned away due to capacity.
