We were thinking about trying Marrakesh on our next trip? My dd's (6 & 7) are fairly adventurous eaters (like Greek food which I believe is similar to Middle Eastern fare) and interested in the belly dancers, Any opinions on the food, here or do you recommend another Epcot restaurant (last time we ate at Teppanyaki which was good but we'd like to try something new this time).
Thanks.

I enjoy the experience of dining at Marrakesh. The food is a bit milder in flavors then I would have liked, but its still good. For me, the appetizers really stand out! They're delicious!

The combination of the food, the atmosphere, and the entertainment (music/bellydancer) really makes Marrakesh worth while for me. I'd recommend everyone try it at least once. :thumbsup2

We also enjoyed our dinner at Marrekesh. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. The bellydancer and the "band" was a great treat. We enjoyed the sampler platter for 2, chicken kebobs and lamb. It was good and will be returning in about 3 weeks.

I suggest you try the counter instead.
It was one of the best counters in the entire place.

Sadly, I cannot say the same for Marrakesh. I know I may have just hit a bad one, but with so many to chose from, I won't go back here any time soon.
Bland food. We had to send chicken back b/c it wasn't cooked. Kind's menu was well not all that exciting. My son actually refused to eat his burger and fries. Desert was very good though as were the appetizers. The Band, and belly dancer were wonderful but the show a bit short. Some people don't like that she brings the little girls up on stage with her but I thought that was kind of cool.

The atmosphere and service was wonderful. The food was a little blander than I expected, and portions were somewhat small for the price we paid--but if it's on the free dining, then that's not an issue. Overall, I'd give it a B.

I read a few good reviews before making Easter dinner reservations at Marakesh. It was the WORST meal we have ever had in all the years we have been going to Disney. The service was bad.The entertainment had just ended as we arrived and began again about 5 mins before we left.We had front row seating and DD really wanted to see show but there were two rude families who stood in front of our table and allowed thier toddlers to go dance/annoy the belly dancer and band.It ruined the show we paid to see. They may have thought thier darling was cute but I was very annoyed.I had called ahead because DD is a veggie and DS has nut allergies. No one marked the ADR and chef was too busy to speak w/us.This is first time we have had a problem.DD only options salad and rice and vegtable dish.I got the lemon chicken. It was the driest ever with no flavor and too much salt.Yuk. We ate lunch at tangerine counter service next day and it was superb, especially flatbread and vegetarian platter.Much better food and much less expensive. We paid 135.00 for a lousy dinner and I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
