Tell me about loop 300

We have reservations for 10 nights Aug 3 through 13. Can't wait!! I requested loop 300. We would like a shady spot near the playground and good fishing. A little concerned about it being a pet loop (barking). Are the sites pretty big and private? We have 5 kids ages 2, 4, 7, 9, &16. If there is another loop that anyone would recommend....any advice is great!!! Thanks.

Being in a pet loop there is always a chance of a barking dog in the neighboring site. The sites are not what I'd consider big or private. If this is a concern you might want to change your request to 100 or 200 loop to stay in preferred loop category.

The size of the Loop in 300 depends on the location of the loop. One year were about three sites from the end and it was a nice size and easy to back into. The next year we got a site in the back on a curve which was smaller across from a fence and trees, we couldnt back our 30'ft wheel and dually crew cab into it, we wound up in the 800 Loop which was nice.
We had requested a location near the bus stop because of a wheelchair, it didnt happen...

We were in loop 300 our last trip because it was the only preferred loop with sites available at that time. Knowing it was a pet loop, I was a little concerned - but there was no need to be. I barely noticed there were any pets around. It was really no different from a neighborhood, where you hear barking from time to time. I think the only issue would be if you get an inconsiderate "neighbor" who allows their pet to wander around.

Actually really liked this loop - wouldn't hesitate to request it again.
