I have never been to DTD & I am trying to choose a restaurant there. The menu looked yummy! oh - and do any of the restaurants at DTD except PS's?? TIA:D

Sorry to say this is not one of our favorites. We found it very pricey for poor quality and poorer service. Being from New Englad, we could be a bit predudice, however.

I also didn't enjoy Fulton Crab House.
Then again I am also from New England.
I found the food to be just okay and the tables were so close together it felt claustrophobic.

On our trip in December, we ate at Bongo at DTD Westside. The food was very good and very reasonably priced.

It's too bad to hear not great reviews of Fulton's Crab House. On our last trip to Disney, it was our fave meal! We're planning on going back on our next trip (we leave in 29 days!). Come on Crab and Lobster Experience for two!

Never go the Disney without eating at Fultons. Yes it is an expensive resturant, but we think it is the best seafood at Disneyworld. Haven't had a anything but a great meal for the last 7 years.

In December we went to Fulton's for the first time and we thought it was great! Definitely is on our list to return next time. Without a doubt I would order the cioppino -- it was loaded with all kinds of shellfish and since we don't like mussels, we substituted more clams and shrimp. It comes out in a 12 inch skillet and I am a big eater and could not finish it. We liked this dish better than the twin lobsters.

While on the subject of new restaurants to us that were at the top of the list -- we also can't wait to go back to Olivias at Old Key West. This and Fulton's were our best meals ever at WDW. Olivias has a nice variety and the prices aren't bad -- for 5 with soft drinks and 2 appetizers our bill was only $$135. The petite filet and lobster stuffed shrimp were delicious, the prime rib excellent and the snapper with mango butter was to die for.

Can't wait for our next trip to do Fulton's (our splurge meal as we call it) and Olivias.

We love Fulton's. We've had 2 wonderful meals there and I haven't found it anymore crowded than any other busy restaurant. The fisrt time they were packed, and service was a bit slow. the second time they were busy but not pakced and we had great service. The crab cakes, rock shrimp pasta, salmon, Grilled shrimp over rice and fried rock shrimp are all very good.

I've been to Fulton's many times and never had a bad or even poor meal. Service was always outstanding. The servers were attentive and responsive without intruding. The food was delish! Love their crab cakes and any salmon dish. I believe if their seafood were any fresher, it'd still be swimming!! :p

I highly recommend Fulton's but go only when you have a PS. They are very popular -- except with the New England crowd  -- (JUST JOKING!!)

Other options that we have enjoyed in DTD were Portobellos Yacht Club and The House of Blues. Try their Voodoo Shrimp.

You can add the "San Francisco Crowd" to the "New England crowd". This was my last dinner on my second trip and a big let down. While the King Crab was good, the Dungenous Crab (forgive my spelling) was dry and pedestrian.

Our waiter was so mediocre it was scary. He was not only kinda rude but made me feel so uncomfortable that I didn't even order dessert ( a shocker for my last night).

I would vote No personally and HIGHLY recommend Portabello Yacht Club next door for great food and service.

We had a bad experience in April of 2002. I think the waiter was annoyed with us because we did not order a bottle of wine (neither DH or I are drinkers), I also think he was annoyed we had a 14 month old toddler with us (who was exceptionally well-behaved). The food was just mediocore, but very expensive.

I will not be going back Fulton's.

We did throughly enjoy and would highly recommend Portabello Yacht Club.

For Fulton's you have to call the resturant directly for a ressie (up to 30 days prior) 407-934-2628

Have been to Fulton's twice, and have had great service and food both times. On the first visit my son was 24 mos, and on the second he was 3 1/2 years. No problems either time.

I've been checking the boards for a review of Fultons, and was just about to ask the exact question about Fultons! I've been to several places DTD to eat, but not Fulton's, because I've read it is very pricey, and being from Maryland (as I see you are) seafood is aplenty! But I want to try it next time I am there!

You won't find much in common at Fulton's with genuine Md. seafood--

I'm with Cinjam and PrincessAurora--Portobello Yacht Club is by far the better restaurant.
Our 4 meals at Fulton's were pathetic (service wise). The place is nice looking, and the food is pretty good (not great). But oh that service!!! Worst anywhere at WDW..
Portobello does accept reservations, but you must call the restaurant directly--I think 30 days is the current "window".

We ate dinner there on Thursday, 01/02/03....It was our first time and we wont go back. I cannot say that the food was bad, it had an etible quality. All DH and I got was the Fried Rock Shrimp, cheapest entree on the menu at $19.99. The sad part was that we could have gotten the same thing much cheaper at another seafood place....ex) At the crossroads on the opposite side of I-4 from WDW is Landry's and they are excellent with a much better price....We also found drinks to be more expensive as we had to wait at the bar for our table.....The service itself was fine however the waiter seemed kind of "uppety" in my opinion....
I am only not recommending it because I think that you can get more for your money somewhere else....but the quality was not bad at all.

But isn't this true of all WDW restaurants? Part of what you are paying for is the convience of eating onsite and the atsmophere. At Laudry's you aren't eating on a boat.

BTW there are a few entrees at the 19.95 price and one cheaper at 16.95 but it is chicken. Spend 2-3 dollars more and you have several more delicious choices.

sha_lyn,
I did not say not to go there. It is only my opinion, and there are even better choices on property. Landry's, although off, is just an example. I think that the food there is no better than other places. That is why I am saying, unless you really have been wanting to try it, spend the money on something or somewhere else. It is not a MUST HAVE to my family and eating on a boat was not that big a deal. My DD7 would much rather eat at Rainforest for its atmosphere. And I didn't notice the 16.95 price, but I also wasn't looking for chicken at a seafood restaurant. Most of the seafood items on the dinner menu were in the $30-22 dollar pricerange.
Again only my opinion, but I thought that was what was asked...

And I was only giving my opinion and correcting some mis information. Sorry didn't realize only your opinion counted.
