never been to either one of these places, tell about your experiances..good or bad

We've never been to the Concourse but we go to ESPN at least once on each trip. Our group is DH, DD who is 11, DS who is 14, and me - and we're all sports fans. Food is basic pub grub and the atmosphere is fun. Prices are fairly reasonable for Disney.

We ate at the Concourse years ago (early 80's) and we enjoyed it, but I have not been back since.
We have eaten at ESPN several times and we were surprised at how good the food was. It is typical "Pub Grub" but good. A few years ago DH and I checked into the BCV and went to Epcot for a few hours. We had been up since pre-dawn and at dinner time we were starving and not PS (at that time, back then you also had a chance of a walk up meal :rotfl: )
We went to ESPN, tired and hungry, and were truly surprised at how good the quality and taste of their steak dinner was.
Enjoy!

ESPN is one of the highlights in dining for my teenaged son, especially if you are there on a night they are doing the little interview show live that broadcasts on WDW tv. While you eat, they interview someone in the sports world -- could be a player, a coach, etc. Got to meet several NFL players and an NBA player once this way.

Food is typical sports bar food, but pretty reasonable for WDW. Go look at the menu here:

You MUST be a sports fan to really enjoy ESPN. Lots of noise, lots of shouting, and everything there is turned up to a zillion decibels. The Concourse steak house, on the other hand, is quite enjoyable. Pretty quiet, but with a little bit of overflow noise from Chef Mickeys next door. Not enough to interfere with a much quiter meal then at ESPN. Go to www.allearsnet.com and check out the offerings at both eateries.

I have never eaten at Concourse, but I agree with the comments about ESPN. great atmosphere and, as hopefully and para said...typical "pub grub." We enjoyed the wings, service was good...we will be going back there on our next trip! :thumbsup2

Have been to ESPN and waited about and 1 1/2 hrs to get into the place not realizing that the night we decided to go Florida State was playing a major Football Game. It is loud, the food is good and if your a sports nut then it's a great place to go.

We have never been to ESPN but we had an enjoyable meal at the Concourse last year. My 4 year old DD was thrilled that they had steak on the kids menu. My DD and I had good filets and shrimp cocktails. My DD said this was his favorite meal at Disney and has requested that we go there again this year on our upcoming trip.

We didnt do Concourse, but we popped in ESPN every night (we stayed at BWV) to check the Yankees scores, the last day we ate nachos there, its good bar food, I wouldnt plan a TS night around it though its too much like a Fridays and there are too many other great places to try although it isnt a bad place to nosh late night!
