Tell me about dinner at CRT

Due to a change in our plans, I didn't start making ADRs until well within our 180 day mark and I've been trying for days to get a meal - any meal! - in the castle. I finally lucked up and nabbed a dinner ressie for 6:45 on the night that we'll be attending MNSSHP. I haven't really read up much on the dinners there because I'd really been aiming for a breakfast or lunch ADR. I'd love to hear from anyone who's done the dinner - especially regarding characters. I realize there won't be any characters actually visiting our table but from what little I've read so far, you do get to see Cinderella downstairs before you go up to dinner, right? Fill me in - I want to hear all the details. I'd also love some feedback on how our ADR time is going to affect our MNSSHP experience. Will we regret spending the first hour of the party at dinner? I'm willing to keep calling to see if I can get a better time if what I currently have booked is going to interfere too much with our party experience. TIA

The time will interfere with the party....we are going the night of our MVMCP, but got 4:00 ADRs.
I love dinner at the castle!! Have down it before and have it booked again for Nov.
Cinderella is in the lobby before for pictures.
Fairy Godmother, Suzy and Perla did a little show and they did come by the table.

I'm glad to hear that we might have some character interaction during dinner - that's good. But I think I will keep trying to get either an earlier time or a different date. We've never done one of the hard-ticket events before and I would really rather eat at the resort before we leave for the party and just get a snack at some point during the evening.
