Tell me about.... December 25th.

We went to Disney Dec 23-29 last year, despite being told by generally everyone that we were crazy, so I went with low park expectations and figured it would be too crowded to move. We went to the MK on Dec 25th (again, most people on here says that is a mistake), and we didn't go until 9:30 AM (again, it was always recommended to go at 7 AM. Well, we wanted to have a nice Christmas morning in our resort room and then go. so we did.) I will say that I did not find the MK to be much more crowded than a Saturday in the busy season or what I remember from when we used to go over Easter. Yes, the lines for big rides were too long for us to wait in, but we ride the teacups (my sons love them) with less than 15 min wait. I had expected to not be able to ride anything but our 3 FP rides. So we ate at the CP, got the kids hair cut, rode our 3 rides, rode the teacups (I can't remember if we did any other rides or not), watched the Christmas parade without a FP, bought ornaments in the Christmas shop, took a few pictures, and just walked around. I thought it was a lovely day, and I am so glad I spend a Christmas Day in the Magic Kingdom at least once in my life.

To actually answer your question, I don't think there was anything there that day I noticed that would not have been there at least the rest of that week, if not the entire Christmas season. They do the Christmas parade twice a day (noon and 3, I think) and do the Christmas fireworks every night that week. But I just wanted to give you a different perspective on the crowds than most. Don't get me wrong, it was busy, but not nearly what I had expected. I guess maybe I went in with such low expectations that I was pleasantly surprised. We didn't even have to wait at all at bag check or to get in the park, and we had managed no bags even with a 2 yr old and didn't bring the stroller because I thought the lines would be too long and the crowds unmanageable with the stroller. (It was easier without the stroller, but if we had had it it would not have been much worse than usual with a double stroller!).
