We are staying at CSR for the first time in less than a month. I was wondering if anyone who stayed there lately cared to share their opinions, both the good and bad, on the resort.

TIA:thumbsup2

The CSR has a love/hate relationship on this forum (as well as many others that I regularly visit).

We love the CSR. We've stayed seven times and had trip number eight booked until we hadh to cancel due to finances this year.

There have been several great reviews in the last couple of weeks and a couple of not so great under the "unofficial CSR thread." There has been talk of good mousekeeping and bad mousekeeping. Unfortunately, this seems to be a growing trend at Disney resorts--from value to deluxe. I've read bad reviews of mousekeeping at the Polynesian, CSR, CBR, Grand Floridian, etc. You will read of rude CM's at every resort. We've never encountered any at the CSR, others have. The rudest CM's we've encountered were at the WL.

We love that the resort is spread out so that even when it is full it never seems crowded and it is very peaceful. We love that the CSR now has queen beds (we're only sorry we have to wait another year to try them). We love the quiet pools, the main pool with the jaguar slide. DH and I have had many relaxing evening sin the hot tub when it's been just us or one or two other couples. We love taking walks around the resort and just admiring the landscaping and the beauty of the resort. The gift shop is terrific--one of the best we've encountered in all of the resorts. I enjoy having a massage at the spa every visit. We enjoy lying in one of the hammocks with our morning coffee or our evening drink and just soaking in the wonderful Florida weather.

It really has become our home away from home and besides wanting to try the AKL with a savannah view, we don't see leaving the CSR any time. We've had seven near perfect stays and I see no reason in messing with success. If you have any specific questions and want to pm me, I'll be glad to answer.

We stayed there for the first time in April and really enjoyed it. Check out the CSR FAQ thread for reviews.

We had a room in Cabana's 8A. Loved the location. Quick walk to the main pool and a short walk to the main building. Pool was awesome. Best of the resorts we have stayed at so far. It is large and has a great slide. You can also get food and re fill your mugs at the pool bar.

The grounds are beautiful. It is a large resort but so are a lot of Disney resorts. We loved walking around and found it relaxing.

Bus transport was fine. No better or worse than we have ecnountered elsewhere. There are 4 bus stops so you are never too far away from one.

Pepper Market was not our favorite, but lots of people like it. The coffee is much better than other resorts though!

Have a great trip and enjoy CSR!

I really can't say anything negative about CSR, it's my all time favorite of all Disney resorts. We seem to come back after staying at other resorts, both deluxe and moderates! :goodvibes

we really enjoyed it. It is very spread out though, so if you end up on the wrong end of the place its quite a hike to the main building. However, there are bus stops all over, so its not like you have to walk up there to get a bus
