Tell me about CRT lunch/dinner-vegetarian options??

Please tell me about CRT lunch or dinner.

What do they serve? Hows the food? What are their vegetarian options?
Are there characters? If so, which ones?

we did lunch at CRT last May and loved it... my youngest DD had a hot dog and my oldest DD had a chicken tenders meal. My DH had the major domo's beef dish which he loved and i had the pork tenderloin which was delicious ! We really enjoyed ourselves and the kids were just in awe that they were IN the castle so it was well worth it. Enjoy !!

sorry forgot to mention the characters....we saw belle, snow white, cinderella, the mice and the fairy godmother... i think some other princesses too but i am drawing a blank. If you go to allearsnet.com you can see the current CRT menus.

Do they give you a salad to start off with?

Also, anyone know what their vegetarian options are?

Also, do the characters come table to table or do you watch them do a show for everyone?

The full menu is on allears.net . Looks like the vegetarian option is pasta with tomato sauce and vegetables.

Unless CRT (1) has changed greatly since the last time I went (admittedly, 20 years ago) and (2) is different from every other character meal, the characters come to the table.

Uh oh.....our vegetarian does not eat pasta Would they prepare something special if I put on my ressie "one vegetarian guest, does not eat pasta"? Or could we call the restaurant directly and ask? The vegetarian in our party will eat anything else-tofu & veggies, salad with tofu, veggie burger, etc...

sorry i did not realize when i first posted the "vegetarian" part of your questions. But pretty much every restaurant at WDW will accomodate special dietary requests. when you make your ressie ask if they can note it and then when you arrive be sure to tell them when you check in what his/hers needs are.

The characters do come to each table and u get time to take pics w/ them etc and then they also do a little act like every 25 min or so as a group.

The regular vegetarian option is a pasta dish but I'm sure they can accommodate you. To see my review with the veggie option go to:

Thanks! So, you don't think we will look like pain in the necks if we request a pasta-free vegetarian meal? I actually think she would eat whole wheat pasta. She also won't eat white rice (but will eat brown rice & other grains). We will also have a strawberry allergy in our party.
