Tell me about Chamilia charms

I would love to get a disney charm for my partners pandora bracelet on our upcoming trip. I can only seem to find Chamilia brand charms though. Are these charms compatible with Pandora bracelets? Do they fit, and can they be removed? Can anyone compare the quality? I have been told not to buy anything other than Pandora charms (bad experience where cheap charms rusted to the bracelet, I think). But if these charms are higher quality (made of sterling silver or gold), I would assume that wouldn't be a problem.

1) Yes - and in WOD or other jewelry Disney store they will let you actually try to put the charm on your bracelet to make sure

2) They are good quality. Suggest going out to their site and looking at the composition of their various Disney licensed charms

They aren't always compatible so I would recommend trying it on your bracelet before purchasing a charm. My mother was given a Chamilia charm for her Pandora bracelet and it wouldn't fit. Luckily she had a Chamilia bracelet too! It can be hit or miss even with the same design so keep trying a few to see.

Chamilia is the only company with the Disney license for these types of charms. I would suggest bringing the bracelet with you when you buy them, most will fit but some will be cut slightly different and won't. You might have to try a second charm of the same design if the first one doesn't fit.

When you put a non-Pandora charm on the bracelet, you will void your Pandora warranty so just a heads up.

Yes, most of the Chamilia beads will fit your Pandora bracelet. Chamilia is the same quality as Pandora. I actually prefer the Chamilia beads over Pandora. They are more detailed and I think they have a better selection. Chamilia is the only authorized seller of "official" Disney beads. Each park will have a store that carries the beads, along with DTD. I usually find that the best selection is at Animal Kingdom. As you are approaching the Tree of Life the store is located on the right, behind the tip board. You can always try them on your bracelet before purchasing.

Great point! Are Chamilia bracelets for sale in the world too? I'm not from the US, and I've never heard of the company before. They don't seem to be as available as Pandora in Canada...

I have a couple of Chamilia beads that I wear on a Troll bracelet (I don't have any Pandora, only Chamilia and Troll). I love my Chamilia Disney beads!! I'm very impressed with the quality. I particularly love the Cinderella pumpkin coach, although the pictures on the Disney Store site really don't do it justice AT ALL. The Chamilia site is a good place to check out the Disney selection in advance of your trip. Not sure if it's a newer version, but the pumpkin coach on the Chamilia website looks different than the one on the Disney site (the former looks to be more detailed and is certainly pretty, but latter is the one I own and the only version I have seen in the parks/on disneystore.com).

They do have Chamilia bracelets, but the selection is a bit sparse (at DL anyway). I bought my bracelet online before I went to make sure I got the size and style I needed.

Kohls also sells Disney Charms and they are always on sale. My kids bought me Tink for Mother's Day.

I have had the Cinderella coach on my Pandora bracelet for several years now and the quality is equal to my Pandora charms IMO.

I have the Minnie bow and Minnie headband Chamilia charms on my Pandora and they fit fine in case you're looking for those specifically and can't try them on!

The Chamilia bracelets at the parks are very limited in size. I think they only have 3-4 sizes....and that is if they have them in stock. Some of the charms you need to twist onto the bracelet, while others have a large enough hole to just slip on.

I just recently started collecting them on my Birthday. I have the flex bangle and I love it. Just three Disney charms so far, but I want so many more lol! Hope to pick up a charm actually "at" Disney in 2015. I ordered the bangle and one charm from Chamilia. The other two charms from the disneystore online. Quality is excellent on it all.

I have 12 Disney beads on my Chamilia bracelet. The character heads screw onto the bracelet, but the glass beads and the ball style charms have larger openings. I would think those would easily fit your Pandora.

I have both Pandora and Chamilla charms on my Pandora bracelet. I think they have held up the same. There is some wearing on both brands of beads. Overall I like the Chamilla charms better, even the non-Disney ones. I had no issues having the Chamilla beads fit on the Pandora bracelet but I do have one or two charms where it is a tighter fit.

Now I have started on collecting Alex and Ani.
