I looked on the Disney website and the description of the attractions is kind of vague.

~Shopping. Not really interested in this.

~Dining. Will there be a new "sit-down order off a menu" restaurant? Flo's V8 Café??

~Entertainment. "Red the Fire Truck brings impromptu water fun at the Courthouse in Cars Land". What is this?

~Rides. There will be three? Radiator Springs Racers, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, Luigi's Flying Tires? What are these going to be like? Geared towards younger kids??

Any other info? :)

Thanks. :thumbsup2

Yeah, that kind of looks like the description from the website. I was hoping somebody that was more familar with the rides and attractions could just briefly explain it to me so I could get a picture in my head. Anyone?? :) Thanks!

I'm more interested in the rides. My kids aren't really into "Cars" and I was hoping there would be more rides that would interest them. They like more exciting roller coaster types rides and I was wondering if there would be any of those, or if it was aimed more towards preschool age kids (like the movie is.)

Thanks. :)

Oh, and a restaurant! Does anybody know if there be a sit-down restaurant??

I have to disagree with you. Cars is not geared only towards preschoolers. As an adult, I really enjoyed the movie. But, to each thier own. If Cars isn't your thing, than I wouldn't plan my entire trip to Disneyland around it.

Racers will be similar to test track at Disney World except cars will race side by side as you go through the scenes from the movie. Not exactly a roller coaster.

Luigi's is kind of like bumper cars on tires, except you can control which way the tires go and the tires float on air.

Mater's Junkyard is a tractor pull type ride, geared more towards the younger kids.

A couple of the Disneyland websites have followed the progress of Carsland and it looks exactly like you walked into the movie. I personally can't wait to see it.

Car is definitely marketed towards a preschool audience. 3 - 5 year old boys. :) But that doesn't mean that girls and adults don't enjoy it, too. Many do!

And by marketing Cars to a preschool audience, I didn't mean that was a bad thing, by any means!!!! :thumbsup2

Personally, I love Cars much more than my kids. I have a 4 1/2 year old son and whatever I do, I just can't get him to like Cars. LOL So yeah, we definitely won't plan our DL trip around Carsland, but we're always excited when new attractions open. :cool1:

Never been to WDW, so I'm not sure what the test track is. Off to go google. Thanks!

Did you watch the videos in the thread? Those are much more than just "a description". You can't get much better info on the ride than actually watching videos of it!
