The DH and I stayed at CBR this past September and LOVED it. In fact, if he didn't have his heart set on staying the WL, we would probably stay at CBR again.
We did pay extra for a king room, but I don't know if that had anything to do with our room location. We were in Trinidad North, 2nd floor facing the parking lot. We were lucky enough to get a corner room! We were very close to Old Port Royale and the bus stop.
The rooms were nice and clean, beds were comfortable. We called mousekeeping a couple of times to request more towels and wash cloths, and they brought a ton of them right away.
We found that the buses were fine. They always ran pretty consistently, and we never had to wait too long for any of them.
The food in the food court was very good. They really had a good selection to chose from, which resulted in us taking forever to make up our minds on what we wanted to eat. The breakfast was especially good.
The main pool was really a lot of fun. The DH and I went down the slide several times and had a blast. There was also a quiet pool that was right beside our building, and there was hardly anyone ever in it. Also located right next to our building was the laundry room.
The overall beauty and themeing of the resort can't be beat. You really do feel as though you have stepped onto a Caribbean island the minute that you step foot into the Customs House!
