I was hoping to surprise DFiance this weekend with Dinner someplace nice. We both really like Ohana's because I only eat a little at a time and it is nice to have a variety rather than my meal consisting of one entree. We also enjoy Beirgarten, so I guess the buffet or family style meals are best since we like to try a little of everything, instead of ordering one entree we may dislike.

So I wanted to know more about Bomas. I heard it was pretty good but wanted some more details. What types of food, comparable to what other restraunt, etc, etc.

Boma is one of out only two "must do" restaurants (the other being B&C).
The foods are very different and adventurous; but not off the wall different.. There are three menus that rotate so the buffets are somewhat different each day. The stews are amazing (if you like spicy food - try the Red Bean Stew). If you like something, ask the waitress for a card and the staff will mail or e-mail you the recipe. There is also a kids table with the usual mac n cheese, etc., as well as a carving board.
Try it, you'll like it; and if not, then you can at leat say you tried something new.

Boma is one of our absolute favs. They have awesome soups (usually 5 different kinds!!) they have a meat carving, like a prime rib. The desserts are to die for and worth the price of admission alone. OK now I'm hungry.

Tried it for the first time in Feb. Well worth the money, nice variety, and great tasting food.;) ::yes::
