Okay I hear a lot of people comment on these boards about Boma being the BEST breakfast in all of WDW. I would like to know what makes this restaurant so wonderful for breakfast. We had dinner there in July and the food was delicious. It was very different and we liked how unique it was. However, DH and I both have sensitive stomachs, and we were not used to some of the spices they cooked the food with. Nothing too major happened but we both did have heartburn that night (DH's was worse than mine but he also tends to go for more of the spicier choices than I do). Again, we are both prone to heartburn so this did not surprise me and it was by no means anything the restaurant did, just wanted to make that clear. The food was excellent and very unique which we did like.

So, is the breakfast unique too? Would we be able to handle the food given our bodies' reactions to the dinner food? I mean, is it also very ethnic, or is it more American-style but just excellent quality? We'll be staying at BWV from now on and wondering if Boma is worth the trip for breakfast one morning when we plan NOT to go to a park.

So, please tell me more about the food! The only places we have been to for breakfast at WDW were Chef Mickey's and Hollywood & Vine for the character experiences. We thought the food was excellent at both as well.

The food is fantastic. They have a few authentic dishes but more American dishes of excellent quality. They also serve a juice called Jungle Juice it is a combination of various fruits and is fabulous. If you liked Chef Mickey's, I believe you will like this even more. I have been to Chef Mickey's and wasn't crazy about the food, I liked it more for the experience. You will find the same types of food at Boma at breakfast but it will be of better quality. It will be worth your time to try it! I will be eating there in 2 days!!!:cool1:

Boma has won the honor of my ONLY must-do for each trip...both dinner AND breakfast. I'm doing both again in Feb. The food is great and the atmosphere of this place really suits me. (Chef Mickey's has good food but it's just too darn bright and noisey in there!) I don't think there are as many exotic dishes at the breakfast as there are at dinner. I think you will do just fine eating the traditional breakfast fare though. I probably ate 2 lbs. of bacon all by myself!! ;) OH! And that juice is YUMMY!!! DD11 loves it too.

I  Boma.

We ate breakfast there for the first time this past Wednesday. Wonderful!! Didn't try much of the ethnic dishes, but we sure filled up on the rest! At the carving station they had corned beef and ham. Great pastries, and they're small enough that you can try a lot of them! ;)
And John V was an AWESOME server! Try it - you'll like it.

We make a point to do breakfast at Boma on every trip. They have the "basic" breakfast food: eggs, bacon, blah blah blah, but our favorite is the stuff you can only get there, like Brioche (like french toast with raisins), and Pap, and they have a corn soup that's to die for IMO. We also like the atmosphere which is really relaxed, not a lot of people to trip over or work around, even when its somewhat full.
