Every time I go to Disneyland, the smells coming out of the Bengal BBQ make my mouth water. I have not had the opportunity to try it yet and will be heading back this weekend and think I would like to give it a try.

So I would like to know if the food is as good as it smells and what you would recommend.

A lot of people like it. I tried it and it didn't blow my mind. I much preferred Big Thunder's BBQ, if you can really compare the two. I forget what I had, but it was just a snack. I'm a far cry from having tried everything there.

We like BBBQ for a quick snack but it is always so darn busy when we go it is difficult to get to the counter to order.

We were not impressed, had them as a snack, couldn't think of eating there for either lunch or dinner. Their tigger tails (the bread ones, I think that's how they call them) were terrible, we complained & they were gracious enough to give us an extra skewer. Won't be eating there again :sad2:

Well that is too bad. It always smells so good to me. If I feel up for a snack sometime, maybe I will give it a try. Thanks for the reviews.

Tiger tails, Tigger tails are a completely different thing and you don't want to mix them up. :)

It's more a snack stop IMO. Altho I'm sure you could eat a full meal there it just seems more snacky to me. :) I've heard the bacon wrapped asparagus is very good but I've never eaten there.

We get a skewer almost every time we are at Disneyland. They really are more of a snack option, unless you get a few (which my fiancee usually does! haha).

Give it a try - the beef and chicken skewers are really good!

I go there almost every time I visit the park. The portions are small for a meal, but I usually make a "meal" out of a cupcake from Pooh's Corner, lol, so I use Bengal BBQ as a way to sneak in a protein and some veggies before I completely pig out. I always order one chicken and one vegetable skewer and enjoy them both a lot :)

For the price I dunno if I would want to pay that again. It smells good, and tastes just ok. To me it was about as good as going into 711 and buying a hotdog or one of their chicken cabobs. Not the best ive ever had, but still decent.

We just ate there yesterday!! It's good for a snack or a light meal in between larger ones. For example, we had a big breakfast and knew we were going to have a good sized dinner since we had reservations at Blue Bayou. So we wanted something light and quick. We had the beef skewer and the chicken skewer. My kids each had one and it was enough for them (ages 11 and 9). I had two skewers and that was plenty. They are tasty and the beef is a little on the spicy side. I say a little, but my in-laws who were with me said it was a lot on the hot side. Anyway, we thought it was great! You should give it a try.

Careful when ordering! There are two different beef skewers. One is spicy, the other is more of a sweet/tangy sauce. Make sure you specify which you want when ordering. I haven't had the spicy one, but I have had the sweet one and there was no kick to it at all. Wonder if you ordered the spicy one?

Interesting! I didn't even pay attention if there were different sauces for the same skewer. I know the chicken skewer had the tangy sauce, but didn't realize the beef had one too. I personally prefer a little heat and didn't think the one I had was all that spicy.

Basically, if you like meat on a stick, you will like Bengal.

My husband just made the Bengal BBQ sauce from the recipe that I THINK Pinkbudgie posted on these boards before, and oh my gosh, it is SOOOOO good. My husband cut thin slices of chicken and placed them onto a skewer, then BBQ'd them. The smell was very aromatic as it was cooking, and brought me right back to Disneyland.

Edited to add: Yep, it was posted by PinkBudgie, thanks so much!! Here's the link to the post where I found the recipe...

OOOO thanks for posting this.:thumbsup2 I will definitely make this next time I grill up some skewers.

I love the BBBQ, I always get a chicken skewer and a safari skewer that usually fills me up. My kids like the dull stuff, BBBQ is too much flavor for them, I usually just get them breadsticks.

I have a photo of bengal BBQ sign. i can post it if anyone wants me too. oh wait .. do i still have it? oh yes i think i do

I really enjoyed Bengal Barbecue. I forgot exactly what we ordered, but I remembered that I liked everything. I also liked that I could choose how big of a meal/snack to order. Here is a picture of what my boyfriend and I shared for lunch.

The only thing I didn't like was that there were hardly any places to eat. We ended up eating at a counter that didn't have any chairs.

I also saw one family bring a container of rice to eat with the skewers. That looked yummy too! I think I will try to copy them next time I visit.
