Tell me about Bengal BBQ

Rice goes 'bad' where you can fall ill from it very quickly within a half hour of being left out... PLEASE don't bring your own rice with you, I'd hate to see your holidays @ Disney ruined because you brought rice to eat alongside of the skewers....

Basically, if you like meat on a stick, you will like Bengal.
There are people who don't like meat on a stick? :confused3 Bacon is always good. But I do remember Bengal to be busy and difficult to get to the counter.

I really enjoyed Bengal Barbecue. I forgot exactly what we ordered, but I remembered that I liked everything. I also liked that I could choose how big of a meal/snack to order. Here is a picture of what my boyfriend and I shared for lunch.

The only thing I didn't like was that there were hardly any places to eat. We ended up eating at a counter that didn't have any chairs.

I also saw one family bring a container of rice to eat with the skewers. That looked yummy too! I think I will try to copy them next time I visit.

THANKS for posting this!!! I was about to google some pics of the bacon wrapped asparagus, but you've already got it taken care of! :thumbsup2

Bacon wrapped asparagus is the best.
Don't be afraid of the asparagus! Hahaha

My husband just made the Bengal BBQ sauce from the recipe that I THINK Pinkbudgie posted on these boards before, and oh my gosh, it is SOOOOO good. My husband cut thin slices of chicken and placed them onto a skewer, then BBQ'd them. The smell was very aromatic as it was cooking, and brought me right back to Disneyland.

Edited to add: Yep, it was posted by PinkBudgie, thanks so much!! Here's the link to the post where I found the recipe...

I made this sauce just the other day to go on chicken and rice. I've found it is good on many things. :)

At Bengal BBQ I do consider it a meal. I get one veggie and one banyan and I feel like I just had a decent meal and I'm filled up. Sometimes getting veggies on vacation is hard so I like this. The problem with bacon wrapped asparagus is the bacon. If it is flexable enough to be "wrapped", then it isn't cooked nearly enough. :rotfl2: I like my bacon VERY crunchy.

What we did last night was get our food and Bengal BBQ and then took it over to the tiki room. Food is allowed in the show, though we pretty much finished ours during the pre-show. We arrived with 17 minutes before the next show time. There were plenty of seats at that point. Plus, if we'd wanted it, there is the inner court Dole counter line for Dole whiips.
DS had 2 chicken and 2 Bengal (sweet) squewers. I had 2 Bengal and one Banyan, also a pretzel with cheese. We split a drink, brought several wet wipes and lots of napkins. Was basically our dinner then the Tiki Room for a show. Worked great for us.

It makes a huge quantity, does anyone know how long this sauce could keep in the fridge (amounts not used up on the first meal.) Thanks! Over chicken, and on rice would be GREAT!!

I'm not sure but I bet you could freeze the extra sauce. You could even put it into ice cube trays to freeze then you just pop them out and stick them in a bag in the freezer and when you want to use some you can just take out whatever amount you need.

That's a good idea. I keep it about a week in the fridge. Also, sometimes, I just add the ingredients directly to what I'm cooking (noodles, for example) without measuring, just tossing in what seems like the right amount to coat the noodles without having left over sauce.
