DH & I went to WDW 3 times last year & I just got back. I finally convinced him to stay deluxe last year & boy did I take advantage of that, lol. We had AP passes so we were able to get some discounts that fit into our budget better. We didn't renew our passes & we travel alot outside of Disney. We are heading back to WDW in January & are currently booked at CBR. I'm thinking about switching over to either All Star Movies or All Star Music. Please tell me all of the good stuff about the All Stars.

The good stuff about the All Stars is that they are the least expensive rooms on property. The bus service is apparently very good, and the food court has, I believe, a wide selection.

The bad stuff? The rooms have paper-thin walls. My one stay at an All Stars included my hearing every single activity and every single word spoken by the couple in the next room (they were not shouting), hearing every conversation and every rolling suitcase that went by my door, and getting zero sleep. Perhaps these things wouldn't bother you, but that was the end of my ever staying at an All Stars again.

If you’re just going to use it as a place to sleep it’s perfectly fine. They are more fun themed than the mods/deluxes. We’ve never had issues with transportation (or none that don’t happen at others), and as someone else said I actually like the food courts selection the best.

The rooms feel much more tight, and in general the value resort just seems noisier. Doesn’t impact us at all as it quiets down in the evening, but the pools can be quite loud until closing.

We’ve done a mix of all the levels of hotels. Our new favorite way to travel to Disney is mainly a deluxe stay (5 nights) that also includes 2 nights at a value. Those two nights actually help save quite a bit, and you can still use the amenities of deluxe on check out day. It is a disappointment going from deluxe to value, but we are busy our last day so we aren’t really in the room at all.

It's cheap and the food court at least for my family is excellent. Where basic pizza/burgers/chix nuggets type of family so the selection works for us.

I never felt the noise between rooms to be bad at all, most of the noise is coming from outside the rooms. IMO this is one of those places where getting a room close to the food court or pool is a detriment not an advantage. This is a cheap family friendly resort so there is a ton of kids/tour/sport groups everywhere.

My mother-in-law who complains about everything (100% Maxine clone - gets worse the older she gets) stayed at the movies a few years ago and never complained about the noise in the room just the constant kids yelling and screaming outside her room.

Perhaps I had the worst room at ASMusic. It's not like I wasn't used to room-to-room sound, since I lived in an apartment for most of my life. It's possible the room had a connecting door. I wasn't aware of it at the time, but that might've been the problem. I just want to warn the OP that this is a possibility.

I'm loving the Maxine clone vibe :D

A connecting door could have been the problem. I stay value/moderate/deluxe and my noisiest stays anywhere have all been the rooms with connecting doors.

We just got back from our first stay at Movies.
Loved it! :)

Buses great! Easy to hop on a Music bus and walk to Movies at the end of the evening at the parks if the Movies line is long

Foodcourt - lots of variety

Cheap - We paid around $125 per night

Super quiet room - standard rooms at the ends of buildings are generally quieter as fewer people pass by your room

It’s nice to walk around and visit Music and Sports in the evenings.

We love to stay at the ASMo. We always go for the cheaper rooms in the Mighty Duck Section. They are actually closer to the bus stop for ASMu...super easy to use that bus stop early in the morning and late at night.

The last time we stayed there the bed was super comfy and we liked that the 2nd bed could be put up in the wall.

We have always received top-notch Disney service at this resort. Once I even got a rose at check-in!

It was cool the day we had scheduled to relax at the pool...so we didn't get in, but there was still fun music and theming is great!

The Toy Story section has some fun photo ops too!

Have a great time!
