Tell me about akv value and standard views...

We are thinking about booking a value or standard view 1 bed this year. Has anyone stayed in these, what are the views normally of in these sections?

Any photos to share?

Values are only at Jambo, and can have pool, savana or parking lot view. You cannot request a certain view beforehand, it's first come first serve. They are value because they are slightly smaller rooms, not because of the view.

Standards at Jambo are pool view. Not sure about at Kidani.

The Values are because of size, not view and are only in Jambo House @ AKV. They are approx. 3 feet shorter than the other rooms at Jambo House. The view can be either pool view, savanna view or parking lot view.

The Standard View exist in both Jambo House and Kidani Village. In Jambo House, all of the Standard View rooms will have a pool view. In Kidani Village, the Standard View can be either Pool View or Garden View orParking Lot View.

If it helps, I've stayed in both a value and standard studio (sorry, not 1 BR) at Jambo house. Since my value was a pool view, I had pool views from both the value and the standard. Personally, I thought the value had a nicer view, which is partially why I've got booked for October at AKV.

Just for some numbers, there are 10 2BR lockoff value villas at AKV. 4 are savanna, 4 pool view, and 2 are parking lot (or similar). That gives you an idea of your odds, at least for a 1BR or 2BR (40%, 40%, 20%) If you're booking a Studio, it's not quite identical, as there are a handful of dedicated studios thrown into the mix.

I have read on other threads that there are 18 value studios....8 savannah view, 8 pool view and 2 parking lot view. I am not sure about how many standard but at jambo all standards are pool view, at kidani standards can be pool, garden, or parking lot. I took my chance w/ a value, less points and you could get a savannah view. There are just two of us, wasn't too concerned about the 3 feet difference, and what a value
