Just had an e-mail from the above.

TCD have Room only + Flights etc flying in the next 2 days from Man or LGW for £229-£289 for 21 night.

I wish I had some holiday left and a kind boss. May have to send the wife and our DD although I am sure if phone up, there won't be anything left!!!!!!!

I called about 8 last night, sadly there was only one seat left on the plane. Should have tried straight away but DW and DD were not sure whether they wanted to go on their own.

What a shame Simon. Funnily enough WDW is one of the places I would be most comfortable going WITHOUT DH (though he would not be at all happy to miss out LOL!)

I've just noticed your countdown - are you going to be at SSR at the same time as us? We arrive Dec 30th for 2 nights.

May have my timer slightly wrong, but we go on the 22nd December and come back on the 1st January. Never been at Christmas and no doubt a waste of points this year with Saturday being Christmas and New Year but just wanted to go and use our DVC points for the first time.

Did you book all star movies with points or just paying cash with that?

Hi Simon,

We will be at SSR at the same time then - we are paying 140 points for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom (OUCH!)

We booked All Star Movies AGES ago, way before we bought DVC. So we've left that booking as it is and just tagged on the 2 extra nights to SSR at the end (instead of the Holiday Inn where we had booked originally for the last 2 nights).

I would have changed ASMo to a DVC resport, but our inlaws are coming with us and I can't afford 2 weeks of points for them to stay with us - and they couldn't afford to stay at a DVC resort with cash. I would've felt really mean if they'd stayed at ASMo while we were swanning off to DVC LOL. Also, to be honest I am looking forward to ASmo anyway.

I didn't use points to book ASMo (I don't think you can book a value with DVC points but I may be wrong) I think the thing with points is to do whatever makes you happy! This is why I am using my 140 points for the 2 nights at NYE even though logically I know it's a shocking waste of points really!!
