Telemarketer called back!

The other night a telemarketer called, and DH told him that he wasn't interested and hung up. The phone rang just a few seconds later, DH answered it, and it was the same guy! I've had them call repeatedly over a course of days before, but I couldn't believe that someone would actually call right back.

Jeez, these people are so annoying. Do they think we are stupid?

One gal kept calling for my dh during the day over and over. She had a real distinctive voice, so I knew it was her. I finally had to get firm with her.

And now, I am getting 2 min long phone message from these people. One most annoying one is this $99 disney vacation package. What a bunch of baloney.

I always ask for them to remove me from their call list. I've heard this is something they have to honor. But.....they always say that it takes 6-8 weeks to be removed so there may be calls in between. Now we have caller id....if it's a number I don't know or comes up unknown or out of area, we just don't answer. If it's important, they will leave a message on the machine.

When I lived with two roommmates, telemarketers would routinely call three times in a row - each time asking for a different name. This was before the computer did it all. It got so we would just ask them to look at their next two calls and refrain from calling again. They would always look down at their list and exclaim in surprise.

I've had that happen before. Had one specific lady who called something like 6 or 8 times even AFTER I kept telling them no and to remove me from their call list. She finally called back one more time, I recognized her voice, and told her if she didn't stop calling I was going to report them for harassment. She asked how I knew (because I didn't give her time to finish her intro spiel) and I said I recognized her voice. Guess what -- that company never called back.
