I am surprising dd13 with a trip to DL in May for her 14th birthday. My b-day falls in June so it is a joint birthday trip. I would like to celebrate her birthday in a nice more grown up way. Any suggestions? Things to do, desserts to get etc? It is just us 2 girls on this trip, the boys are staying home with Dh. Any girly girl suggestions would be appreciated:goodvibes

Why not do dinner or lunch at Blue Bayou? Or get dessert there, share a cookie boat.:)

I went with two girlfriends a few months ago. We took a picture at every photopass opportunity we saw and ended up about 120 pics on the CD after I did my editing. It was great to have to many pictures of all of us, and the special effect pictures were neat to have. If you get/take a lot of pictures, you can make an album and have it printed to always remember your trip. I did this when I took DD (3 at the time) last year and it is a lot of fun for her and I took look through the album. I typed up an introduction on the first page that explained some of our favorites. That's my suggestion for something to help make the trip extra special.

You could go to the Napa Rose for a special "grown-up" dinner. Not sure if you want to spend that much money but I hear they have great food (unfortunatley I've never been).

I am 14 almost 15 in a few weeks and ive never been without my sibling but my mom and me always stay late at the park and my grandma takes my sister back. We always go get dessert late at night, and take pictures by everything we can. Make sure you get her a birthday button at city hall and everyone will say happy birthday to her or get extra secial little things. Also you could do some of the little things that most travelers miss just for her birthday, like the silouette or the portraits and the name paintings over by the submarine ride and matterhor are my favorite. Hope this helps a little bit!

Love the manicure idea. :thumbsup2 How about doing a tour? Or maybe some shopping and lunch in DTD? The F! dessert package would be fun if they are still offering that.
