So we had to buy a new computer. Our 7 year old dinosaur finally kicked the bucket, after about six months or so worth of headaches. We had XP service pack 1 on there and every time we tried to upgrade to SP2, the computer would commit harikiri. It refused to recognize my MP3 player (a SANSA Sandisk express) as an MP3 player. We got the Blue Screen of Death virus (forget the real name of it..it tried to make you download some crappy fake antiviral software). Within the last couple of weeks, it started refusing to run Internet Explorer or the free MSN browser that came with the computer. It started refusing to dial out to the internet (even though the modem works fine). We finally decided this last problem with it not wanting to open IE was the last straw.
So we bought a new one..an Emachine with the latest version of XP loaded onto it.
It STILL refuses to accept my MP3 player as an MP3 player. It wants to think it's an external drive. What's up with that?
Also, I have The SIMS 1 (Deluxe pack) and it refuses to load the second disk, which is how the game gets completely loaded onto the computer. How do I fix that?
Techonological I ain't. That's why we have the most basic computer we could find. We don't do anything with our comp except get on the internet and maybe play the games that are preloaded onto the computer and every once in awhile use Microsoft Office for a couple of things.
