Rose...I've been dealing with stomach issues the past 3 or 4 years. Went on a really good diet with lots of whole grains and raw veggies, then found I couldn't digest them. I take one pill for reflux, one with each meal to help my stomach run faster and one before a LR of more than 6 miles to prevent runners trots. I quit caffeine for a couple months and figured out that didn't make a difference. It's been extraordinarily frustrating!
Jackie...sorry to hear of your struggles with your hip. Hope it gets straightened out soon.
Corinna...sorry about the flat. Swim lessons sound good...are they private?
Jen...no worries. I think FB kinda takes the place of DIS lately.
Speaking of the Y, we're about to lose our free membership. DH has worked there the past 5 years, but is starting a new job in a few weeks. Trying to decide if we should sign up as paying customers or find a new place.
Since I'm such a rabble-rouser, I got myself kicked out of a charity walk this weekend. Students at my school put together a team for a breast cancer walk so I thought I'd go. Got up early and the dog wouldn't leave me alone, so thought I'd take her with me. I'd been at the walk for nearly an hour with all the volunteers saying hi and petting her before some woman came over and told me it was supposed to be a pet free event due to the patients and people with allergies. I didn't argue...apologized and took the dog home, missing the walk. Checked the website for the walk...nothing anywhere about pets, one way or the other.
