I know I've been MIA from the DIS for a week--took a little mental health break. Mostly off FB, too. And a training one, although that's related to some sort of virus I caught which has had me coughing up a lung every hour on the hour. Apparently I wasn't too missed though....
Tomorrow, 7/11:
Christa has a 4 miler in Charlotte!
Congrats to
Corinna's 10 mile race on the 4th of July! Corinna, we'd love to hear from you.
Robert: I was wondering if you and Linda were going Goofy. I figured the answer was probably yes, but didn't know the status of Linda's rehab and the stuff you've been unable to talk about. Hope you are both doing well.
Jackie: You've been doing so darned well with the training. Your Goofy is going to rock! Bill's too, I'm sure. I'm loving hearing about your LRs back-to-back with hike/trail run, midweek training, etc. You're really kicking up the intensity, and the Richmond race will be yours, I tell you, yours!
Richard: You know how I feel about the heat.

I don't like getting hot and sweaty, even for the best reasons. And those involve bling and ice cream. If it's a race.
JenB: WTG with your local 5K. Excellent pace, and don't you just love that you're able to do a race on the spur of the moment like that? So cool.

What fun that you, JenG, and Jeanne will be able to meet at the DL 1/2. In the meantime, have a great time planning DD's 6th b-day party--are you doing a theme?
Jeanne: WOO HOO on the good news about the Greek's proposal. Details, woman, I want details. Beg, borrow or steal someone's internet, dagnabbit! Congratulations to all! A Disney wedding, perhaps? And in other news, how is your NYC marathon training progressing?
Julie: Speaking of training, yay for being able to do the marathon. I know you've been in a bit of a slump, so what's your getting back into the groove, training-to-train plans looking like?
Kathy: It's probably too late for shoe suggestions, but have you checked eBay? I've been able to find some of my favorite, discontinued shows that way. And Doh! I knew you were going Goofy. You're on the list.

Sorry about that.
JenG: My, that's a pretty intense strength training program (and one reason I tend to avoid strength training

). I hope you're feeling better and

for going back at it. Date night in Reno sounds fun, fun, fun. I've never been there, but have wanted to go. And

for BLT!
Maria: Aww, so you gained wait on vacation. (Who doesn't?) I'll bet 1/2 of it is from a lack of hydration while vacationing and sodium retention. It'll come right off. And are you the woman who lost a pound a day. Yes, yes, I think you are!

You just need to get back on that TM as soon as it's fixed. So what you need is a date with the TM repair person, pronto. Not as much fun as date night with DH (see JenG) but very useful. With any luck, your TM repair person will be a hot young guy in uniform.

And I second Julie's request for details on the vacation.
Jen: Oh, I didn't know about your DD and summer school. You rock, and I'm sure her teachers will notice her improvement and not treat her any differently. Or they'll have to answer to you.

Gotta love the oversized t-shirts and comfy clothes. Are you feeling good at this point in the pregnancy, aside from the business/maternity clothes issue?
Jack: Hi there! I miss seeing you around!
As for me: Not much to speak of. I've been sick this week and skipped three--yes, three--days of workouts. Haven't run since Saturday's 5 miles. Not sure if I'll be able to run tomorrow, and I'm supposed to be in training for the Baltimore 1/2. Makes me a bit anxious, but the illness has settled into my lungs...
And mentally I'm just not in training mode recently, either. Nothing major, just in a bit of a funk--too many other things demanding my time, and not things I'm enjoying for the most part. I'm sure getting sick is coloring my perceptions of everything, though.
