Quoting myself - you know it's getting crazy when you quote yourself, right?

This reminded me of the movie A Mighty Wind where the Folksmen title their albums with one-word titles ending in n'. Singin', Wishin' Ramblin' etc. and then they broke the covenant with the fans with the album "Saying Something." That whole album cracks me up. But especially "Old Joe's Place."

The Muppets version of almost any song is generally perfect!! I am a huge Henson fan and actually did my long run last night watching special features on the Fraggle Rock collection.

We had BBQ sandwiches for dinner tonight and I was singing the Muppet song "BBQ" from Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas (which everyone must get on DVD if you have not seen it -- cutest thing ever!).

There are some really good songs that I was surprised to find were composed just for Muppet specials (by Paul Williams, mostly).

Ok, now "The Rainbow Connection" will be running through my head for a while

Hey everyone!
I'm way late to the party, but I hope I can jump right in.

Last song to make me laugh...well I'm in love with those SNL digital shorts and the guys who do the musical shorts are a band called Lonely Island and they just released a cd last month. It is absolutely hilarious, although it does have some bad language. You can look up the videos on YouTube. My current favorite is "I'm On A Boat." Besides that...I adore Weird Al's "White and Nerdy" because it reminds me of my nerdy boyfriend

Whoops - did I just lose everyone?

Just stopping in for a nightcap (during Heroes commercial breaks), and had to tell you that you certainly did not lose me. I love all things Christopher Guest. Though I am partial to Spinal Tap....back when we were in our first apartment, my husband and I went to get a window a.c. unit (yes, it was one of those NYC apartments, and by mid-July I realized that as much as i hate air conditioning, my marriage was not going t survive the fresh breeze of decaying garbage from the street below wafting through the windows...but I digress. For a change). The salesman was trying to sell us a particular one, and we kept pointing to the other one and saying "But this goes up to 11!"

Thanks for the hospitality. I better have a pint or two for the road. Or intergalactic highway. Now where the heck is my towel?
