Team Mickey - Biggest Loser "No Excuses" 2012 Challenge

QOTD for Sunday, 2/5/2012: What is your favorite color? Feel free to share why too.

Pink. It's such a girl color I was in denial for years until I finally decided to own it. It makes me happy.

QOTD for Monday, Feb. 6, 2012: Share a random fact about yourself.

Long time Bowie fan.
I'm afraid of champagne corks and popping biscuit rolls.
I'm really good at spelling. Won a lot of contests when I was a kid.

QOTD for Tuesday, 2/7/2012: It's always good to talk about accomplishments. I know it keeps me going. Share with us an accomplishment (health related or not) you've had since January 1, 2012.
At least I haven't gained any more weight since then. It was a frighteningly steady climb for a few months.
I've stabilized somewhat--I haven't been in a gun shop for awhile anyway.

Just popping on to say a big HI to all of my Team Mickey friends! I try to read when i get email update, but I don't even have time to keep up with my own team thread, never mind reading yours too!

I miss you all and I can't wait until we merge! TTYL...................P

Miss you too Pjlla

Or we will get the wagon moving and make you run after it so you get some extra exercise in
:lmao:

Having a lazy day. Will muster up the courage to go work out soon. Downloading songs from winmx since it's working right now. It's hit or miss these days. In honor of Val day decided to make a 70's love songs cd. Haven't done it before--it'll be nice to have something new to listen to in the car. Looking forward to biggest loser tonight.

 Susan.

I had a pretty off plan day today and I knew that would happen. I have been struggling with emotional eating. I tried yesterday and I tried today, but I'm not surprised that I didn't succeed. Tomorrow is a new day.

On my way into Whole Foods today, I thought of quite the  for our next QOTD. This one is inspired by a common thread you see on the Community Board.

QOTD for Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012: What is the funniest, strangest, most surprising, etc. thing you learned on the Dis? Feel free to share more than one!

I had no idea people took pictures of their meals before they ate them and then reviewed them. The details in some of those reports are incredible.

Pool hopping-I could never imagine myself considering the idea of staying at Pop and swimming at Wildnerness Lodge.

I have a few more, but I'd love you hear what you have first. :cool1:

My big accomplishment for this year so far has been what I set out to do last year. I finished the WDW 1/2 Marathon on January 7th, 2012! :thumbsup2

3:48:49 was my time. Slower than I was hoping for, but those overpasses at the end just about killed me.

Hey ::MickeyMo

Sorry I haven't been around much. The last few days have gotten away from me. Its been an emotional crazy week. I ate less then 1,000 calories on Sunday and Monday. I just didn't have an appetite. Sunday night I was up really late (til about 5am Monday morning). I was having an emotional meltdown and was bawling in my office. The anniversary of Josh and Maddie's funeral is tomorrow. I was going through my Myspace looking at pictures. Then I went through our blog from start to finish. By the time I was done I was crying so hard I couldn't see straight. My head hurt and I couldn't breathe out my nose.

My mom got here Monday afternoon. We had hamburger noodle casserole for dinner. Then I woke up early this morning, ate breakfast, was up for a few hours, and went back to bed. I woke up again around 3pm and ate lunch. Then we just lounged around and had dinner around 6pmish. I LOVED the new NCIS episode tonight!

Tomorrow morning my mom and I are getting up early and heading to Magic Kingdom. I do not want to be home tomorrow. If I wind up staying home all that happens is I wind up replaying the funeral through my head. I don't want to be depressed tomorrow. So, I'm going to try to make the best of the day and spend time with my mom.

{{{HUGS}}} for tommorrow. I hope you and your mom are able to have some quality time together at MK wthout the memories intruding too much - although I know they will still be there.

Thinking of you.

I should just offer the standard advice-- but I can't. I cannot even imagine your pain. You have a good Mom....

I think that's a SUPER way to spend tomorrow! I will be thinking for you and saying a prayer for you tomorrow!

Sorry I haven't been posting much. I'm trying to accomplish stuff around the house and just get organized. Taking Izzie to school shortly and then heading for a big Target run. We need mac n cheese cups for the kids' lunches and WW meals for Brian. The girls need new stretch pants as they are putting holes through all of the ones they have. I hope to get myself at least one pair of yoga pants for work. The pants I usually wear are shrinking length wise which is driving me crazy!

I think I'm going to get a salad for lunch from Chipotle today and then have a shake for dinner. I plan on doing some Wii Fit Plus today as well. I want to do the biking, some jogging and maybe some free step. I took my step back downstairs last night so I can use it. I may also do some more of the BL Kinect game. I have to figure out how to do it with limited space.

Time to get Izzie's snack together. She is going to buy lunch today so that saves me time.

Have a great day!

QOTD: My biggest discovery which made me laugh is Dis related but I didn't discover it while on the boards. We have become friends with a group of local DISers. One of them I went to college with, his sister worked in the same town as me and another grew up in the town I used to work in. We all know a lot of the same people. The one I went to college with had his wife IM me while they were driving to Disney when it hit him where he knew me from! You really discover that it is "A Small Small World!":rotfl2:

:wave2:

I am up. I am dressed. I have had breakfast. I am not motivated.

I am trying to decide if I should go to Bible study class this morning. It is a short term class starting today. I am sure I would probably enjoy it but my lack of motivation is telling me to just stay home and maybe try to at least do WATP at some point.

I wish I could take a motivation pill. I used to be a go, go, go person that never stayed home but over the last few years I love to just stay home, especially when I am by myself and it is so peaceful.

Quiet day here. My stomach isn't feeling great so just made some Wonton Soup for lunch. I started with a recipe but didn't have most of the things that were supposed to go in it so I ended up just throwing things together. I had some mini frozen wontons that are low in fat and calories so I threw those in some chicken broth with some ginger and garlic. I was supposed to use Broccoli Slaw but when I pulled it out of the back of the fridge it was slimey so I threw it out and used some chopped up fresh spinach and some thin sliced mushrooms. Turned out pretty good.

So to go along with my last post I weighed in this morning and it says that I am down 2 pounds from Friday (which would be 1 pound off since yesterday). Well I know that isn't right-- I did not lose 2 pounds of fat since Friday! I am guessing it is because I didn't drink very much yesterday so I am a little dehydrated. I would expect to be back at my Saturday weight tomorrow. Except that if I am still feeling nauseous all day I probably won't eat much. Of course if I do start feeling better then there is a bag of Doritos upstairs to be shared for the Superbowl so that could be bad too! Either way, as long as I can maintain my current pace of a pound a week I am happy. I just try really hard not to think about how long it will take me to reach my goal, though! That can be a little discouraging, especially when I know that I will have many weeks of no loss and will probably bounce up and down a few pounds over the summer.

I wanted to share this that I found online today. Some of these things are really interesting: http://www.rd.com/slideshows/13-things-you-never-knew-about-your-weight-slideshow/#slideshow=slide1

Everyone enjoy the SuperBowl (that will be watching) and remember that it is a time to have fun but not an excuse to overindulge. Make your plans for what you will eat ahead of time and stick to it.

But if you do go overboard the wagon will be stopped at your house tomorrow morning! Jump right back on and plan for some lighter meals for the next few days to balance it out. Or we will get the wagon moving and make you run after it so you get some extra exercise in ;) . You won't gain the fat from a few hours of indiscretion-- have a balanced week with a little extra activity and you will be surprised at how happy you and the scale will be on Friday.

Everyone have a great ON PLAN day!

Congrats on the loss!! I love the slideshow, and thanks for the quote about the wagon stopping at our houses! That really helped me!!! I didn't really go overboard (except for eating a miniscule amount of pistachios THEN logging them and they were 5 points! yikes! :scared1: But, it helps me in general to be reminded that all is not lost when there is a slip up, or a bad meal, or a bad whole day. If this were a challenge in which participants had to be perfectly OP I would have been out a long time ago!! Thanks for all you bring to this group, LTS!

I seem to have been favoring green colors lately. Especially since the last 3 shirts I have bought are bright lime green.

One of the shirts I can't wear though, it's my "I did it" shirt from the WDW 1/2. I didn't realize that they were woman's shirts, and the CM didn't bother to really say anything to me about that... I didn't find out till I was back home again in Indiana.
I finally made some progress in weigh-in this week! I've only been back running once since the 1/2 Marathon, I've REALLY got to get back into it! I've put into my budget this year to attend the 1/2 again next year. I'm also looking into a few other events closer to home throughout this year.

Awesome! WAY TO GO! You are rocking! :rockband: Keep on keeping on! You are an inspiration to all of us who are trying to reach our goals!!

Well, I changed my plans for the day. The girls said they wanted to watch the Superbowl with daddy so I decided that I would make a fun dinner of Superbowl snacks--my way! So we had light and healthy versions of some common things. I made Baked Mozzarella Sticks with low fat cheese wrapped in Spring Roll wrappers instead of using bread crumbs, served with low sugar Marinara sauce. Then BBQ chicken mini tacos with wonton wrappers as the shells, a Rotisserie Chicken shredded, and added our favorite bbq sauce and cole slaw mix with light cole slaw dressing. That was my favorite but no one else likes Cole Slaw so they thought it was a little dry. (duh!) Then we had Southwest Stuffed Potato Skins and Buffalo Chicken bites. I will try to post recipes on the BL Recipe thread. We did have our traditional Superbowl bag of Doritos.

Everything was low fat and had no added butter or oil. The Buffalo Chicken didn't go over well but no one in the family really likes Buffalo wings so that was to be expected. I think they might have been better as the Mini Tacos than just plain.

You are amazing in the kitchen. You really cook! That is amazing and something I find very inspiring! Please continue to post about things you make. One day I am going to totally surprise my family and whip up something new and exciting. Usually they are very leery when this happens. lol:lmao:

Wow - I have made it on to the top ten - even if it is at number 10!!

Hope you have a good day.

QOTD - my biggest accomplishment is actually sticking to my diet for more than a couple of days, which is my usual. So far it has been five weeks and I am still motivated.

WOO HOO! Way to go!!!

I think my biggest accomplishment this year has been making exercise much more of a priority. I'm now exercising several times a week, with much more strength work than I'd been doing before, and I think that's been a big part of the success I've been having.
Speaking of, woohoo! I'm displaying that clippie with pride!! :) It's weird - I'm having this pattern of a big loss one week and then little to nothing the next, then a pretty big loss the next week. It's bizarre, but the overall rate is solid and steady, so I'll take it. I think I'll actually be up a little this week, but not for anything I've done "wrong," really - my food and exercise were definitely OP. I'm just feeling that cyclical bloat and general ooginess, and I never seem to have a good WI when that's around. Oh well. Better to log it and move on instead of stressing about it. I know I'm doing the right things! Today is my WI day, so I'll know how bad it is soon...

Tomorrow will be a big challenge, as I have three (!) meals out. A breakfast meeting, lunch with a friend after a board meeting, and dinner out with another family. UGH. That's the kind of day where I usually throw in the towel, but I have breakfast planned, at least, and an idea about lunch. Dinner is at a wonderful Latin/South American place, and I know what I *shouldn't* order but haven't yet figured out what I *will* order. The arroz con pollo there is to die for, but it's a meeeellion points...

XO
Liz

Congratulations!! Awesome job! That is amazing! Keep it up!! :cool1:

I knew someone here would have the answer! Thanks!!

I'm doing a better job of tracking my food. I know my problem is "grazing" and having to write it down forces me to evaluate everything I am putting into my mouth. It's not always pretty and sometimes I "forget" (hmmm...like those darn Oreos every once in a while) but it's a work in progress....

Way to go, Liz!!! And Nancy!! And all of us!! (I tried to re-post the list but that darn poof fairy keeps making it disappear...) Second time for me, too! Congrats to all of us, whether we're on the list or not!!

Nancy, on the 5 mile run!! I think I am going to sign up for another half too. I'm trying to get to a comfortable 45 minute run at a 10 minute pace and then plan to start adding the longer weekend runs in. That's what February is for - and then hope to be outside starting in March with the long runs.

I went to my early morning spin class (5:15AM) this morning and holy cow. It's a good thing I got there and was in line before the Y opened. Some of the people who got there at 5AM on the dot (when the Y opens) didn't get a bike! :scared1: Can you imagine getting up at 430AM for a class and not being able to get into it?
My snowbird parents went over to WDW yesterday for the Giants parade. I can't wait to see their pictures.

Have a great day everyone!
Jude

Congrats on the better tracking! That is a huge success! And no, I cannot imagine the disappointment I'd feel if I got up at 4:30 only to be turned away when I got to the gym. What a bummer! Glad you got in! I hope those other people that didn't still got some exercise that day. Remember to go early next time! Spin is awesome! Good for you!

Congrats to Team Mickey!! so proud of all of you! I didn't make the top ten this week because we have some high percentages and that is AWESOME!!!

QOTD? Health accomplishment so far this year? I am eating breakfast every day (well, sometimes not the weekends if I sleep in), and it is not a fast food breakfast! Can't remember the last time I stopped at Chickfila!!

Awesome! Its those little changes that make for a whole lifestyle change, gradually. Little by little we are becoming Healthy Habit people! Way to go!!:thumbsup2
Back again to finish my replies.

I crossed the finish line at the Tinker Bell Half Marathon less than a year after being swept at the Princess Half Marathon. That was a biggie for me!

Losing 17 pounds is fabulous!

Woo hoo! Congrats! You are a superstar no matter where you're name is on the list!

Congratulations, Liz! That clippie looks great on you!

Congratulations you superstar, Nancy!

And to you, Jude!

You're still here and that is an accomplishment, too! Everyone who is still here is a winner because we NEVER GIVE UP on ourselves!

I am one teeny, tiny half pound away from 60 pound clippie. And just a few pounds away from ONE-derland for the first time in 20 years. I'm getting so excited.

Have a great day all!

You are AWESOME! Congrats on crossing that finish line and getting that Tink medal. What an amazing feeling! And congrats on the weight loss! Almost 60 pounds! That is so amazing and inspiring! You go girl! And doesnt that make you want to just be OP so much! I am so proud of you and all you have accomplished and all you do for this group! :) :cool1::thumbsup2:):woohoo::yay::cool2:

My big accomplishment for this year so far has been what I set out to do last year. I finished the WDW 1/2 Marathon on January 7th, 2012! :thumbsup2

3:48:49 was my time. Slower than I was hoping for, but those overpasses at the end just about killed me.

:woohoo: You did it! You got out there and YOU DID IT! Major accomplishment. I don't know the exact statistics, but you've done something most other people in the world haven't - you are a medal-earning half-marathoner! Woo hoo!!!! :yay::woohoo::thumbsup2:cool1:

QOTD for Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012: What is the funniest, strangest, most surprising, etc. thing you learned on the Dis? Feel free to share more than one!

I have found that I am not alone in a couple of things Disney related. I am not the only solo traveler and I am not the only one who takes pictures of their food!!

On my way into Whole Foods today, I thought of quite the  for our next QOTD. This one is inspired by a common thread you see on the Community Board.

I have a few more, but I'd love you hear what you have first. :cool1:

Finding out about the pet graveyard on the side of Haunted mansion. The encryptions on the stones are great--funny.
The cats. I would have never known they were all there. It was nice to know where to find them and have supplies to feed them :goodvibes
I wouldn't have known about the $200 Disney chase reward card--that was amazing. We never spend that much on food and souvenirs-- it was nice to not feel guilty about spending.
We wouldn't have known about the free day for volunteering in time-- we were lucky to get something around here that was fun too. I mean they did advertise it but you had to act quickly y'know.

Well-- gonna do a hurried workout before work and hopefully will be done in time to eat something before work--otherwise I attack all the snack food when I get home at 8. :scared1:

On my way into Whole Foods today, I thought of quite the  for our next QOTD. This one is inspired by a common thread you see on the Community Board.

QOTD for Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012: What is the funniest, strangest, most surprising, etc. thing you learned on the Dis? Feel free to share more than one!

I have learned so many things on the DIS-- some good, some great and some I wish I never had! I have learned a lot about people, both good and bad. But I think the one best Disney thing I learned about was riding in the front of the monorail. That is something we never would have known about, and was a great experience for our family on our first trip. I am glad we got to do it while it was available.

I have also learned that the Budget Board is anything but! I used to go there a lot but I swear every time I would find a great deal on something I probably didn't need but had to buy because it was such a great price!:rotfl2: They are amazing at finding some great things over there!

You are amazing in the kitchen. You really cook! That is amazing and something I find very inspiring! Please continue to post about things you make. One day I am going to totally surprise my family and whip up something new and exciting. Usually they are very leery when this happens. lol:lmao:
You are sweet. But really I am pretty bad in the kitchen! When the kids find out I am cooking instead of DH they start checking to see if we have frozen pizza or PB&J for the backup plan, then get DH to unhook the smoke detector. Sometimes they have the phone in hand to dial 911 or Domino's, whichever need comes first!:lmao: I can cook but am not very skilled at it and tend to be a disaster. Burns, cuts, spills, broken glass, the occasional fire, and full on disasters are common. But when I succeed it usually turns out okay.

Well I did end up going to Bible Study. Here is the conversation in my head this morning when my lack of motivation (LOM) and reason and responsibility (and some guilt!)(RR) collided:
LOM: I want to go to Bible study but I don't really feel up to leaving the house.
RR: You are already dressed and have had breakfast so there is no reason not to go.
LOM: Yeah but I still need to put on makeup and my tennis shoes and I just don't feel like it.
RR: God doesn't care if you are wearing makeup or tennis shoes so go without them.
LOM: Yeah but if I can't even give God the respect of looking nice I should just stay home.
RR: God isn't looking at your outside, but at your inside-- get off your butt and go!

So I went to Bible Study for the first time in a very long time, with no makeup and in my fuzzy crocs which I wear as slippers. I thought it was going to be a 4 week class but it is a 13 week class  I am committed now!

And I also did WATP for about 20 mins. I need to go and mom floors so that should get me some more exercise credit for the day.

Yesterday was a terrible, horrible Off plan day. Just didn't keep it together. But I am on track today. However I am guessing I won't have a loss this week because I haven't stayed strictly OP since Saturday. May see if I can get a little exercise in these next few days and hope it will counteract some of the bad.

Have to take 2 dozen cupcakes to the school on Friday for the monthly treats but have decided this year I am NOT going to make them. I am just going to go to the store, buy 2 doz cupcakes and turn them over. Reduce the temptation!

QOTD: What have I learned on the DIS? LTS, I was going to say the exact same thing, riding in front of the monorail!!! NEVER would have known about such a treat.

Also Dole Whips, never would have known of the sweet, pineapple bliss that is a Dole Whip.

I am doing well eating this week, am optimistic for Friday's weigh in...:rolleyes1

GL all of you!

Hello TEAM MICKEY! :smickey:

I had a pretty off plan day today and I knew that would happen. I have been struggling with emotional eating. I tried yesterday and I tried today, but I'm not surprised that I didn't succeed. Tomorrow is a new day.

If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right.
Henry Ford

I'm glad that you aren't giving up and I'm cheering for you to improve even just one little thing every single day because only by changing are you going to get out of your current situation and progress. :flower3: Or as Yoda would say "Do or do not. There is no try." :yoda: Just a teeny, tiny bit of tough love -- I know you can do it! :lovestruc

QOTD for Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012: What is the funniest, strangest, most surprising, etc. thing you learned on the Dis? Feel free to share more than one!

I've learned alot about WDW from the Disboards but it's harder to learn new things about DL for me after going for nearly 50 years.

One, is the Monkey Bride at Haunted Mansion Holiday. The other is about the kitties. :cat:

My big accomplishment for this year so far has been what I set out to do last year. I finished the WDW 1/2 Marathon on January 7th, 2012! :thumbsup2

3:48:49 was my time. Slower than I was hoping for, but those overpasses at the end just about killed me.

And what a wonderful accomplishment that is, too. :thumbsup2 Don't worry about your time -- mine was 4:02 for the Tinker Bell. You will get faster!

Kristina, hope you had a peaceful day at MK with your Mom. :flower3:

Thanks for getting that song stuck in my head today, Tracey. ;)

:wave2:

I am up. I am dressed. I have had breakfast. I am not motivated.

One of my favorite people has a saying for times like this . . . fake it 'til you make it, baby! :hippie:

Congrats on the loss!! I love the slideshow, and thanks for the quote about the wagon stopping at our houses! That really helped me!!! I didn't really go overboard (except for eating a miniscule amount of pistachios THEN logging them and they were 5 points!

Interesting because the nutritionist on the Biggest Loser was making a big to do about how you could have lots of pistacchios and get a lot of bang for your calorie buck this week. :confused3

I always love all the nice things that you have to say about everyone, Melinda. :flower3:

Susan, I forgot to mention how cute your newest generation of kitties are!

I have found that I am not alone in a couple of things Disney related. I am not the only solo traveler and I am not the only one who takes pictures of their food!!

:thumbsup2 Food pictures are a great favorite on the Dis! ::yes::

I have learned so many things on the DIS-- some good, some great and some I wish I never had! I have learned a lot about people, both good and bad.

Isn't that the truth? :lmao: Truthfully when I met Pete Werner at the Dis meet at DLR recently he mentioned that the WISH boards is an outstanding, positive part of the Dis -- so give yourself a pat on the back everyone! :goodvibes

Today is one of those "just keep swimming days" :fish:

It has been fun reading about your "Dis"coveries. ;) I had forgotten I learned about Dole Whips and the graveyard at Haunted Mansion here. I've gotten a few eye-openes via the Community Board. LTS: I agree with you on the Budget Board. There is always something that peaks my interest there. One of my favorite things I learned on the Budget Board, though, is that Walgreens sells Disney gift certificates. Our Stop & Shop does too, but not when I learned about Walgreens. That was a nice find. We don't do the Water Parks & More Option, but if we ever do, I know how to use it thanks to the Dis. Another wonderful thing I learned about it how great Disney is to those on a Make-a-Wish trip. :cool1: Tracey: It is so amazing how small the world is! :cool1:

Today was much more OP than yesterday. :woohoo: I need to focus on eating breakfast and lunch though. I did have dessert, so I had three meals, but I can't have my first meal be just before 12 Noon. :rolleyes1 Dessert was sugar-free, fat-free pudding made with fat free, calcium-fortified, lactose-free milk. I needed more dairy for the day, so that was my logic behind what I had for dessert. Dinner was OP, although I had more potatoes than necessary. Lisa: Send the tough love whenever and here and/or on myfitnesspal. :) I did journal my food today! :yay: I also went to the gym. I am hoping to increase my time there tomorrow. I did learn that I need to increase my water intake before, during, and after I workout. That is my other goal for tomorrow.

I am also hoping to clean out my car tomorrow. It really isn't messy, but I am missing something and the last place I saw it was in my car. I did a little today, but as I didn't find it, I need to keep going.

In other good news, I am not sleeping as late anymore! I woke up before 8 AM the last two mornings! It is nice to not require 12+ hours of sleep.

Have a great, OP Thursday/tomorrow everyone! Last day before weigh-in! :goodvibes

QOTD for Thursday, 2/9/2012: We've talked about excuses already, but which excuse are you still using? How can you change that?

My biggest excuse is that I'm not good at it, meaning exercise. I have decided that it doesn't matter. I was telling Team Donald that since I am not working, I am able to go to the gym at anytime during its operating hours. I usually go just before or just after lunchtime. I find the gym pretty empty at these times and I'm not nearly as self-conscious about people watching me and thinking about how big I am. I know that most people are focused on their workout, but I've seen plenty of eyes stray. I think this is especially true because the strength machines are not separate from the cardio machines. I love Planet Fitness, except for this.

Another thing I did today was get a good feel for C25K. I looked at the intervals in depth and thought about how many of you love intervals as opposed to all running. I've decide that I'm going to go through Week 4 and the reasses. I do not see myself as someone who can run an entire distance and I am okay with that! I know that it will take me some time to find the right intervals and I am okay with that too! I also know that walk/run intervals are amazing for my mood and that I need them to be a part of my life. I am putting my health first!

Checking in, haven't posted in awhile. It's been kind of a cray week, but I'm still trucking. At my JC weigh in I gained a little bit but expected it. Hopefully for my weigh in here I will be down.

I am at the point in time when the theme park I work at seasonally starts making their placements. I was passed up for supervisor which was really disappointing because I thought I had a shot but I didn't even get a call for an interview. I know why, I transferred departments last year midway through and wasn't sure which department I wanted to come back to. I finally decided to go back to rides, but I'm sure they saw somebody who was too wishy washy. I get it, but still disappointed. Oh well. I hope I at least get a good ride. I just want to know! Base rates know as soon as they are hired, but of course the leads and sups are kept waiting while they figure out placements. This time of the year is the worst. LOL.

I don't know if it's doable, but I would really like to be in the 130's by the time I go back first weekend of March. I am at 145 right now.

Morning ::MickeyMo

Yes, I'm saying morning because its almost 3am and haven't been to bed yet. I've been up since 9am yesterday.

The trip to Magic Kingdom went okay. We got all the way up Mainstreet USA before I realized I didn't bring my pedometer. The park was pretty empty and the longest wait was at the Hall of Presidents. We had to wait about 20 minutes. All the other rides were 10 minutes or less. We did:

Hall of Presidents
Haunted Mansion
Small World
PhilarMagic
Lunch at Cosmic Ray's (cheeseburger and fries with a Coke)
People Mover
Carousel of Progress
Space Mountain
Monster's Laugh Floor

We're going back another day and bringing Alan with us so she can watch Wishes. She's night blind and we were trying to get home before it got dark. She can drive but she has difficulty.

The last time she was at Disney was back in 02 and I chuckled when she asked me things like:

"Is Beauty and the Beast at Magic Kingdom?"

"No, its at Hollywood Studios."

"Oh are we going there today?"

"No, we're going to Magic Kingdom. We can go to Hollywood Studios another day."

"Oh Okay"

The only time I thought about the events that took place 4 years ago was when I asked her what time it was. When she told me I started thinking back to what I was doing around that time 4 years ago.

We took a few photo pass pictures but I didn't like any of them when I looked at them online. The wind was really bad today and every one of them our hair was in our faces. I actually for the first time ever think I took better pictures then Disney :). I'll download a few later today.

I was talking with Alan earlier to get an idea of how far I walked today and we estimated it at 4.5 miles. Now, explain to me why the heck we parked at the transportation center? Yeah, can we say I wasn't paying attention?. Walked all the way to the ticket window, got her ticket, walked all the way up to the monorail, then walked all the way to Magic Kingdom entrance after getting off the monorail. THEN, walked to and through Liberty Square, through Fantasy Land, over to Tomorrow land, and then back to Adventure Land, only to turn around and walk out the exit to the monorail and back to the car.

Yeah, that trip was poorly planned out walking wise but I got a good workout. :)

Okay, now I'm going to bed..

Good Luck to you!!!:thumbsup2

Which excuse do I abuse? "I will do better tomorrow.":rolleyes1

How can I change that? I need to make a "work schedule" and follow it daily.

I have too many things "crazy" right now and without some "rules" on me, I skip stuff which throws me off and then leads to my excuses.
