Team Goddess - Volume 11. Rocking 2012 Goddess Style!

Oofff. I think I ate too much tonight :headache:

11 miles on the to-do list for tomorrow. I've mapped out a route that should be fairly enjoyable. It's on the local "rails-to-trails" path. Hopefully it won't be too terribly cold in the morning. <sigh> Remind me why I do this again? :confused3 Can't we all just skip the whole training/racing thing and have a normal vacation? :upsidedow

:laughing:I have never seen this guy before!====> :crutches:

there's a 5k!!!!

there's a 5k!!!!

yeah, but the 5K bling  it's more like 5K BLEEK! :rotfl2:

Crappy night's sleep last night. I was very rudely awakened from my slumbers in the middle of the night by a pregnant goat who started screaming like a banshee the moment she went into labor. Two hours in the frigid cold barn before she gave birth. Seriously - someone needs to teach these girls when to panic and when to relax!

I'm heading out for my attempt at 11 miles in just a little bit here. Current temp is 26*, so I'd like to see it just a tad warmer before I go.

Karen and Paula- I'd LOVE to have TR's. please!!!!

Love, love, love goat season! Remember the Princess last year...every hour poor Stephen was delivering more goats. I think there were 14 born in the 4 days we were there! And I get a warm, happy feeling when I think of all of the new goats going off to their new homes, with love and lots of pastures for roaming and grazing and a wonderful adoptive family. :lovestruc

So now I have to ask...do you actually have a baby monitor in the barn? How did you hear the goat screaming?

Yeah, inquiring minds want to know.

 I remember that. He kept texting me and sending more and more pictures! There are 6 due the weekend I'm away this time. SIX :rotfl: The poor guy!

And yes - we have a baby monitor that we use when we know that the pregnant girls are getting close to giving birth. Usually they don't need help, but every now and then one needs assistance. We like to make sure everyone is ok, the baby (babies?) are cleaned off and dry.

I did my 11 miles this morning. :thumbsup2 It wasn't horrific. Not all pleasurable either, but mostly ok. I'm not going to having any kind of PR that's for sure, but yes, I will survive another Princess princess:

oh, and just after I got home and showered, feeling all nice and clean: another goat decides it's "time". The momma's name is Jasmine - so her baby will get a "J" name. Naturally I'm looking to the Duggars for inspiration :rotfl2:

Totally not caught up with the thread, but I'm back!!! Just barely made it back, car trouble, we seriously drove 20mph the last few miles! But, it's in the shop, we are home, pictures are being uploaded and wash is almost done!

My PF was HORRIBLE on the trip, almost got a wheelchair and was close to tears a few times, but I was having so much fun, it was easy to deal with. I'm going to have to let it heal, it was hard watching Dallas go out to run this morning! Darn resilient teens! ;)

Started a TR, it's the top link in my signature if you guys want to see pics and hear all about it! It was a total free-for-all with my eating (well, except meat) and I made a pig out of myself, but it was totally worth the TEN POUNDS I gained in a week! :scared1: A couple already came off this morning, probably water, and I'm back on the wagon with lots of pics of all the goodies I ate. :p

I'm going to try and catch up, I did read a bit while on the trip, but it was hard to respond on my phone, the keyboard and the DIS are tiny on that little screen!

Lovely.

What a wonderful day I chose to eat goat for dinner. :rolleyes1 :sad2:

So sorry about your pain Karen.

Yeah for your trip!

Can not wait to come over and see your pictures. So gorgeous they're going to be. :woohoo:

Sarah Palin and Kristen Wigg ran the Princess? :rotfl2:

Same difference. :lmao:

:rotfl::rotfl:

Nancy, aren't you watching SMASH?

No, I thought Becca was DVR'ing it. I need to get me some sleep, so I was going to watch it at a later date. Turns out I was wrong though - about the DVR. I'll have to catch it on-line:surfweb:

Maybe it's not fair to name a goat after those who eat them. :sad2: :3dglasses

 Well, this particular "J" girl is a DAIRY goat, not a meat goat - so she'll be sticking around :thumbsup2

Lovely.

No, no, no. Clearly you missed my earlier post. Nancy's goats go to wonderful adoptive families where they have lots of room to roam and graze. And there are children who love them and name them and keep them for pets.
