Team Goddess - Volume 11. Rocking 2012 Goddess Style!

I actually had an old man tell me I looked like Sarah Palin...I had my hair up and glasses on...and ironically was canvasing for Obama! :lmao:

I think bedtime is coming soon, I've had a little bit of wine...more than Disney would allow me since their damn drinks are 10$ a pop!

No, no, no. Clearly you missed my earlier post. Nancy's goats go to wonderful adoptive families where they have lots of room to roam and graze. And there are children who love them and name them and keep them for pets.

yeah. What she said ;)

What? :confused3 No, no no. Clearly you missed my post. :goodvibes

I know all about the lovely lives Nancy's goats live. :thumbsup2 I was merely chatising MYSELF. Feeling very guilty that I ate goat on a day while one of Nancy's was giving birth.

I was talking about myself and my ongoing meat eating sprinkled with guilt. As in longing to be a vegetarian but knowing I will probably never be one. :sad2:

And speaking of animals - Frankie is still awful and I haven't slept in about a month. And I'm losing it. All I wanted is if death was coming for it to be not overly painful. I was never fearing his death. Just wanted to make the best choice for HIM. I truly have no idea at this point. Am at a loss. Kat, do you think a cat can have surgery and form stones again so quickly? Email me so I don't clog the thread with this all.

But I needed to vent regardless. I'm truly losing it.

And both Kristen Wigg and Sarah Palin are very attractive so it was a compliment. PRETTY. Well on the outside for one. :rotfl2: :flower3: ;)

And I thought it might be fun to chest press throw a weighted ball the other day on my back and well hmmm - always caught - but one catch didn't go quite well - swollen lip. BUT FUN!!!!!!!!!!

GOOD MORNING GODDESSES!!!

Good luck to Em! Is that the right sentiment? Congratulations? Ha!

Those both work!

I can point to a couple of culprits. First being water. I know I didn't get enough last week. Also I know my daily points average was a little higher than it had been in the previous weeks, BUT! I never went over my total daily alloment (when taking activity points into account) and didn't dip into my weekly "extra" points. So, that bears investigating.

Of course, eating Johnny Rockets hamburger (whether it was tracked or not!) doesn't do me many favors. I'm not going to stress, just press onward! :goodvibes

This is odd - it can't just be water. I swear your body is hanging on because you are training. I bet you that if you come home from the Princess, take a week off exercise yet track, you will lose.

No, I'm just sayin' even the DOG is smart enough to know which team to cheer for :dogdance::laughing:

Oh, the poor doggy. He lost this one, although it was darn close!

Liz - I hope Em has a good one. Not some lame disobeyed-my-mother.

This was priceless!!!! Love it! She went first, out of the group. She had a very serious church face on her. She gets that from her mother - I do reverent very well. Who knew, huh? :rotfl:

The mom roller coaster continues. DGF was so encouraged by the last three nights. Really good conversations with her mom. She was on top of things and had been cooperating with her therapy. Today we get a call from GF's sis. Mom fell at the nursing hope. She's back at the hospital. Leg (femur? crap) broken in three places. She may have a lingering infection, too. Right now she's in traction as they decide what do do next. Dammit. Dammit. Dammit.

Sue left a couple hours ago for StL. Not so much for her mom, who likely won't remember her being there, but to give her sister some relief and support. Dammit.

Ronda

Oh, no! I'm so sorry to hear this, wish we could do more than empathize.

I checked Rose's FB page...doesn't look like she and Ashley are doing the Princess this year. SAD! I would so totally buy them drinks to say thanks for the year's worth of entertainment they have given us! And the shirt! She's on the shirt!

We should really tell her she made rhe shirt!

I have it. On my FB page.

rumpleminz.jpg

hahahah! I just found it too! Don't you just LOVE my purple sparkly shirt? Yeah. You know you want one LOL

We do not speak of the shirt.

ah yes. But we weren't playing horseshoes my friend. Accuracy doesn't make you the winner :cool2:

Hmm, neither does losing to the non-competitive one, moi. :lmao:

11 miles on the to-do list for tomorrow. I've mapped out a route that should be fairly enjoyable. It's on the local "rails-to-trails" path. Hopefully it won't be too terribly cold in the morning. <sigh> Remind me why I do this again? :confused3 Can't we all just skip the whole training/racing thing and have a normal vacation? :upsidedow

WORD.

Well, actually, I doubt I could swing coming if it weren't for the event..but heck can't we lie about doing it and hit some ladies up for their medals? Pay them perhaps? :rotfl2:

there's a 5k!!!!

We don't run for substandard bling. Right, Amy? Amy? Amy?

Hey how about Jeannie. Jean turned 50 today!!! :scared1:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEAN!!!!

No, no, no. Clearly you missed my earlier post. Nancy's goats go to wonderful adoptive families where they have lots of room to roam and graze. And there are children who love them and name them and keep them for pets.

Fantasyland. That's my favorite, too, E. ;)

Oh, poor Frankie boy. I wish I had some good advice or something. :sad1:

Sorry, Lisa! Hang in there.

Riley has mono! Ugh! And tomorrow Cam is getting her wisdom teeth out. Yes, she's only 10! Crazy! So this isn't a fun place to be right now.

I didn't get my run in today because between being up on campus all morning, taking care of Riley, and driving soccer car pool, I was literally running all day. Just not the kind of running I wanted to do! Bah! And it was a gorgeous day, too. Another day in the 40s.

I'll try for tomorrow--maybe both kids will crash at the same time. I just need to do a quick 4-miler.

Friday is my LAST LONG RUN before the Princess! Yes! The long runs are so so so boring that it's painful.

I would love to join!

DsnyMama - Amber
Age: 23
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 254
Personal Stats: Married for 4 years to my sweet hubby. After working for the SC Department of Corrections for 5 years, he now works for a transportation company driving a truck, so he is gone a whole lot. He just started and boy is it hard... We have two children - Ava who is 3 and Levi who is 17 months. I'm in college working on finishing up an RN degree and then heading for my Master's to become a Nurse-Midwife.
Favorite Park: A dead tie between Magic Kingdom (nothing like seeing the castle and walking down Main Street USA!!) and Animal Kingdom (LOVE the overall vibe here...)
But I Love: World Showcase!
Where else can you visit so many countries in less than a day?
Passions: My family, sewing, crafting, birth. I'm a childbirth educator, lactation counselor, and doula. I love it.
Important to know: I have trouble getting motivated to start something like weight loss. Sticking to something for a week nearly kills me, but once that week is over - I'm transformed!! After that one week, my old eating habits are gone and sticking to my plan is no big deal at all! I just have to get past that week...
Weight loss plan and goals: Primal/Paleo way of eating. I don't refer to it as a 'diet' so much as it is just a life-style overhaul. I hope to lose weight by this change as I've seen so many others do. I'd love to get in some exercise a day or two a week, but I chase around a 3 year old and a 17m old all day - so I'm fairly active! My goal is to get out and play outside at least 1 full hour every day with the kids instead of just sitting and watching. My ideal goal is to lose 104lbs by our trip next February. I have just over a year to accomplish it, and I think I can! If I am successful, my end weight will be 150lbs - I haven't been that small since 6th grade.

Welcome Amber! We have a few things in common, including our dh's professions! Mine has been driving since our kids were little, they are teenagers now! I also have quite a few friends that are birh advocates and doulas. I photographed my friend's homebirth, it was amazing! Anywho...welcome!

Gah, getting antzy here, how long for PF to heal?!?! I wanna run!

E, sorry about the sickies!

Thank you for the welcome Karen!! I love being a doula - it is wonderful!

Hi Amber and welcome!

I have to admit, I have no idea what it means to eat primal....but it is conjuring up some interesting images! :rotfl2:

And speaking of animals - Frankie is still awful

I'm so sorry Lisa :grouphug:

And I thought it might be fun to chest press throw a weighted ball the other day on my back and well hmmm - always caught - but one catch didn't go quite well - swollen lip. BUT FUN!!!!!!!!!!

:scared1: :rotfl: Why oh why does that seem to have "Kelly" written all over it :rotfl:

Oh, the poor doggy. He lost this one, although it was darn close!

um, actually I think the doggy gave this one away :sad2: I just can't take Eli Manning. The guy always reminds me of Sam Eagle

We do not speak of the shirt.

but. but. but it SPARKLES pixiedust:

Well, actually, I doubt I could swing coming if it weren't for the event..but heck can't we lie about doing it and hit some ladies up for their medals? Pay them perhaps? :rotfl2:

Pay them? Nah. We'll simply *acquire* them. Those ladies will all be hobbly and sore. We can take 'em

Riley has mono! Ugh! And tomorrow Cam is getting her wisdom teeth out. Yes, she's only 10! Crazy! So this isn't a fun place to be right now.

Yikes. Well, better to have 2 kids home at one time, rather than one kid home 2 times. or something like that :confused3

Friday is my LAST LONG RUN before the Princess! Yes! The long runs are so so so boring that it's painful.

I have one more long one too! Monday. The weather here has been crazy-mild. My 11 outside the other day was really not that horrific at all. But, it appears my luck has run out. Monday is supposed to be in the 20*'s, windy and flurries. :headache: With the arthritis, it's really not good for me to run in the cold, especially for a long run. My hip needs to be kept warm. Maybe I can swing a half TM-half outside run Monday. 12 on the TM gives a whole new meaning to mental fortitude!

Gah, getting antzy here, how long for PF to heal?!?! I wanna run!

Are you doing your stretches? Your frozen water-bottle rolls? Your towel scrunches? It does take time Karen. I certainly understand how frustrating it is.

Welcome Amber

Trade them for a funnel cake!!!! :rotfl2:

Welcome Amber! Glad you are here!

Lisa, any update?

Karen, I am going over to read your TR next!

So I am still sick - but not as bad. Was allowed to work all day today! They sent me home yesterday. Sick Liz = not good for wellness. I am already through all my extra points and most of my activity, and my activity is really decreased this week, but I did manage 9 miles and a yoga class. Hoping for 2 miles tomorrow. Maybe yoga Friday and planning on 12 miles on Saturday! I skipped Zumba tonight, I just need the rest.

I am bizarrely hungry though. Like what the heck? Well I am tracking!

I need to pack this weekend as we leave next weekend! :scared1:

Hi Ladies! Was out of the loop for a while and SO glad to be back!! Nice to meet ya E and I promise not to PURPOSELY use the dancing banana. Unless my dog chooses it. Honestly, when I don't know which smiley to use, I leave it up to her. Kind of like the balloon dog who was CLEARLY popping with it's head up its butt---yeah G-men!!!:cool1:

Since I stink with names as previously claimed: Goat momma-I'm from CT. Where would you be? E: sis and kids are in Maine. HATE the weather, LOVE Camden. Anywhere near there? Gramps was a Native-as in American, the Abenaki kind. High school guidance counselor said I could go to college for free anywhere in the state because of that, but as you can imagine, that was a big fat NOT!! I freeze in 70 degrees:confused3.

Anyone use a Nike+? It freaked out on me last night and said I was running a 6:53 mile!!??!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: At least my knee has been behaving itself. I'm on call this week but next week, watch out big(ger) miles, here I come!:woohoo:

Weigh in on Friday and I just downed 2 Girl Scout tag-alongs. Evil, evil cookies:mad::eek::headache:

Eeek! My Miami Heat are having their dupas handed to them by the Magic. Sorry, ranting again!:scared1:

Dupas=Polish for a**:laughing:

Trade them for a funnel cake!!!! :rotfl2:

ah, Rose. :rotfl2:

Since I stink with names as previously claimed: Goat momma-I'm from CT. Where would you be?

It's Nancy :goodvibes and I'm from the Northern end of the state - rather near the airport

 Liz has a different name for Girl Scout Cookies

Tomorrow is Thursday. Double whammy day for me.

First, it's my official weigh in for WW. Tracking has gone well this week (with the exception of Sunday night, when I ate more than I should have, but less than I wanted to - so I'll call it a win). Workouts have been solid - LISA! Are you listening? I've made a few changes to my workouts this week. We'll see what happens.

Also, it's my day when I get my a$$ kicked by my trainer.

Yay weigh in day! I hope it goes well!!!!

Awww, your cute tiny pregnant trainer? :rotfl: Did she make the cover of Pregnant Bad A$$ yet?

LIZ--yes! Let's just find some poor limping group of women and steal their medals! Perfect. All of the glory, none of the pain! :rotfl2:

NANCY--ooooh, good luck at WW. I'll be thinking thin thoughts for you at your weigh in. :thumbsup2

Kimberley--I am on the coast, too, but farther south than Camden. Kennebunkport. And I adore Maine, really, especially the coast. But I hate cold. If we didn't have kids in school, we would totally be snow birds and be up here in the summer and fall and then head to Florida for the winter. We actually discussed homeschooling the kids so that we could have that lifestyle. I work full time from home, for the most part, and my husband travels all over the world for his work, so he can be based pretty much anywhere. But we're committed to staying here while they are still in school. And we make the best of it by heading to Florida 3 times/year!

Amy, EE, Jo, Kat, and Mallory. Check the hell in. ;)

Oh--forgot. Yes, I use Nike+ and really like it. It used to be way off (inaccurate), but I got the special little thing to nestle the foot pod in and now it is great.

I also have the Garmin 305 but it is just SO huge that I can't use it. But it is super accurate. The Nike+ is so slim and light, so I find it a much better tool for me. I don't really need the GPS function (it maps your running route when it uploads...tells you what streets you were on, etc.) but I don't need that. I really just wanted something to keep my pace.

However, I am still in the market for the right running watch for me. Ideally, I want a Garmin that looks just like a regular size sports watch. The newer (smaller) ones are getting closer, but still a bit big for me.

Welcome Amber!

I am so jealous reading of all your long runs. I am benched I stilll have some major hamstring/ it band issues. I hope hte running stars aline in time for me to get at least 8-9 no pain miles in before I leave for the princess.

Thanks for the good WW wishes! We'll see what the scale says tomorrow, but you know I check all.the.time. I'm down overall. I bounce up and down all week, but the bouncing interval has gone down. Make sense at all?

Yeah. She may be pregnant but she's still a BEAST! She broke my husband today :scared:
