Team GLAMED takes over the WORLD—09/21-09/29

:mickeybar Joining in!

I love the 'To-Do' list your DD compiled, and I understood it completely! So very cute and don't you love that how the kids get interested in the planning too?

RE: your ADR's On hard ticket event nights, my go-to eating spot is The Plaza. We have an ADR for around 4:30-5:15 set and don't have to worry about looking for a QS table when they may be crowded bc of the increase in people trying to eat before the event begins. Once we are done, we can grab our wristbands if we don't have them already and usually the festivities are just kicking off/getting ready to begin so we can head towards our "First Stop".

I would cancel one of the Polynesian restaurants; choose 1 to save for next time. My kids have never eaten at Kona Cafe, but they enjoyed Ohana.

Yay! What fun! A new PTR to comment on!! :hyper:

So many of you from STL!!! What the heck!?! STL loves Disney! :rotfl:

Your kiddos are beautiful and I love your "Glamed" name, too cute!

The cabins!! Yay! So fun! My friends stayed in them a while back and absolutely LOVED them, and I too visited Ft Wilderness for the HDDMR and fell in love! So many activities!! You MUST do the free campfire sing-a-long and I think it'd be so fun to rent some sort of watercraft!

My opinion on your ADR situation...first off KEEP HDDMR!!! Hoop Dee was my most favorite meal ever! I LOVVVVVVEEEEDDDD it! ALL the kids and adults were so into it, laughing and having a merry ole time, plus its at your resort!! Double score! You have to do this!

I think 2 princess meals are not needed, and I agree that buffets can be very taxing with kiddos, constantly up and down to get them food, and then prepping for the characters to come around! Some are fun, but too many and you will wear yourself out! So I am thinking either cancel a buffet and cancel one of the princess meals. People rave about Akershuas, and I would keep it and save CRT for another time, that frees up 2 credits. But I know its hard to give up CRT.... lol... so maybe I am no help here. :lmao:

Biergarten was so awesome, loved it, the kids enjoy dancing there, so fun!

I also agree with no dinner ADR for your MNSSHP night, you want to enjoy the party! Dont take any time away from it! We personally are planning on just grabbing food we can eat while looking around or while watching the parades or something. Like a pork shank from Gastons or corn dog nuggets from Caseys. We also arent doing a breakfast ADR, we want to stay late for the party so my plan is sleep in, eat breakfast at our resort QS, then swim and wear the kiddos out, then nap, then QS lunch before we go to the party!

Oh and I LOVE the must do list your cutie made! That is soooo cool! I love that Irish and German food were included!!

My name is arrical8 and I have a WDW planning problem…

My plans have changed so many times that I have to refer to my spreadsheet when I am talking about the trip with DH! But what can I do? Make more changes!

I made some decisions about my ADRs and decided that as of now, I will keep what I have and as the summer progresses, make changes. That did not stop me from changing our plans around during our trip though!

One thing I decided to do on our trip is to try and coordinate our outfits on days that photographers could capture us like park days and character dining. This is proving more difficult than I thought since I have such a headstrong 7 year old. I have been talking to her about Disney Bounding if she doesn’t want to wear a Disney shirt, so we will see where that takes us…

Day 1: Arrival/Cabins at Fort Wilderness
Attire: Car riding clothes/Favorite Disney Shirt
D: Trails End

Day 2: Animal Kingdom/HDDMR
Attire: Day: Safari (Browns, Greens, Oranges), Night: Chip and Dale, Cowboy (Reds, Blues, Denim, Blacks, Yellows)
B: In the cabin
L: Tusker House
D: Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

Day 3: Resort Day/MNSSHP
Attire: Day: Whatever, Night: STL Cardinals Fans (Cardinal attire)
B: Trails End
L/D: The Plaza (our ADR time is for 4:15 so our party time is left intact :cool1:)
D/Snack: Snacking around MK

Day 4: Resort Day/Epcot
Attire: Mickey/Minnie (Minnie dress for Delaney, matching plaid shorts for boys, Reds, Blacks, Yellows, Whites)
B: In the cabin
L: Whispering Canyon Café
D: Biergarten

My DH was a chef before a horrible car accident took him out of work permanently and he became a stay at home dad. He is SOOOOO excited for the Food & Wine festival and when I looked at our old plans, we only had one day planned at Epcot. By changing up our schedule, I was able to give us another ½ day at Epcot. I might cancel or move WCC to breakfast and eat around the WS for lunch :)

Day 5: Magic Kingdom
Attire: Pirates (Pirate custom resale for Delaney, Jake Custom shirt for Garren, Maddox and Emersyn ???, Reds, Blacks, Yellows, Whites, Dark Blues)

B: Crystal Palace
L: Columbia Harbor House
D: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café/Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party

Since Garren and Delaney will be too small for BBB/Pirates League, Emersyn and Maddox decided to be pirates together, so we booked the Pirates League for them! We might take the twins to the Harmony Barber shop for some pixie dust and maybe Delaney's 1st haircut :wizard:

Day 6: Hollywood Studios/DTD
Attire: Possibly Pixar??? I found the cutest Jessie dress for Delaney, Maddox wants to wear a Mike or Sully shirt, Garren loves cars in general, and Emersyn wants to Disney Bound Vanellope Von Schweetz from Wreck-it Ralph. (I know Vanellope is not Pixar but she is adamant…) So I was thinking we could represent Pixar.

  • Garren: Cars
  • Delaney: Toy Story
  • Maddox: Monsters University/Inc.
  • Emersyn: Wreck-it Ralph
  • Daddy: The Incredibles
  • Mommy: Brave
B: In the cabin
L: Play 'n Dine @ Hollywood & Vine
D: Raglan Road

Day 7: Magic Kingdom
Attire: Day: Girls—Princesses (Delaney-Sophia, Emersyn-Elsa, Mommy-Snow White) Boys--???) Night: Hawaiian (Browns, Greens, Corals, Tropical Colors)

B: Cinderella's Royal Table
L: Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café
D: Ohana

Day 8: Epcot/DTD
Attire: Girls—Belle… I bought the cutest custom resale for Delaney, so I was thinking of Emersyn and I Disney Bounding Belle or other princesses. As for the boys, once again, no clue :confused3

Brunch: Princess Storybook @ Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
L: Les Halles Boulangerie & Pâtisserie or Sunshine Seasons
D: Wolfgang Puck Express – Marketplace

Day 9: Departure Day

Attire: Car riding clothes

B: QS Breakfast

Love all your ideas for attire!! It is hard to think of what the boys should wear, or in my case the adults, lol. I try to at least stay in the same color palate, so we look matchy in photos!

Love the attire ideas. What is the custom resale? Is it a website?
My go-to woman on Etsy is booked through Dec. 2014. Awesome for her definitely (she's obviously in great demand and deservingly so), but I am in search of 1 or 2 costumes for DD to dress up in beyond the standard issue of what WDW sells.

I totally have the same problem as you, I plan then re-plan and then change my mind! LOL! There is so many amazing things to see and do,it's hard to pick just one or two things! I constantly change too.

I am a very crafty person, but with a full time job, 4 kids, and kid activities, I personally do not have a lot of time to spend making all the great things I envision. I have to leave some things to the talented people I have met that are able to make crafting more than a hobby.

Case in point... Autograph books pixiedust:

I would love to make all 4 of my kids autograph bookls out of old Little Golden Books but after looking at the prices on Etsy and evaluating my time, I have decided to purchase some specifically selected books for each child. This here lies the dilemma...
  • Do I purchase books for the older 2 and let the twins have books next time we go?
  • Do I purchase one book and make it our family autograph book?
  • Do I purchase one book for the twins to share?
  • Do I purchase 4 books and make myself in charge of getting autographs for the twins?
I am leaning towards purchasing 4 books because I would hate for my twins to feel left out... What would you do?

Oh, autograph books.....I'm not a huge fan. My feeling is how many of those do you need, really? That being said, for our girls first trip, they both got their own and a Minnie shaped pen to go with it. (All off eBay, much cheaper. I also got spiral bound ones because I knew my aunt was going to take them apart to add to scrapbooks she was making for the girls of their first Disney trip)

When we went in January, I knew I didn't want to do more books. We did an autograph frame

This trip, I made pillowcases. We're taking fabric markers that won't wash off. I made several, but I've seen other people just use one pillowcase. I've also seen people take fabric squares for autographs and then make quilts when they get home. Just some ideas.....

Love the frame idea! I might have to think about this one :cool1:

No, I bought Delaney's customs as previously owned "resale" outfits off eBay. I have found a few dresses and iron-on's on Etsy that I am planning on buying :)

Happy Belated Memorial Day and Hello Summer!

My older two are finishing up school today and next Tuesday. We are all excited for summer break to begin! Delaney’s school takes a small break and starts back up at the end of June… they are all so ready to not get up so early in the morning! Mom is too, but she has to go to work every day!

Tonight, I am taking Emersyn to a production of Beauty and the Beast put on by a local school. She is so excited! We will be with her Girl Scout troop and are having dinner out before the show!

We have a small kiddie pool by Step Two that I got off Craigslist last year that we use in the backyard. Over Memorial Day, I realized my kids were lacking swimming suits! Emersyn and Maddox recently had growth spurts and only one suit per kid fit, Garren’s suits were too big, and Delaney has swimming suits but they are hand-me downs and some were a little more revealing than I let my girls wear. So I spent my 4 day weekend figuring out who needed what and bought everything, clothes, swimming suits, shoes… It was some expensive online shopping with 4 stores, multiple kids, but it is done and I hopefully will have little to purchase before the end of summer.

I have been bitten by the ETSY bug… 3 dresses, 13 hair bows, and iron on transfers later, I still have other things I want for the trip! I just bought iron on transfers of Chip, Dale, Minnie Cowgirl, and Mickey Cowboy to make shirts/dresses for our night at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! I am so excited, but overwhelmed at the amount of packing I will have to do... 4 kids x 2 outfits a days x 9 days = 72 plastic baggies full of all the components to make at outfit! This number is not including extra undies, extra socks, shoes, pajamas, swimsuits, or my clothes! DH is on his own!!! :dance3:

In other news, as of today, our trip is paid in FULL and our 09/23/14 MNSSHP tickets are bought! 114 Days to Go! :cool1::cool1:
