*** popping in here, since I cannot :teleport: to WDW at the moment :sad1: ***

Happy Sunday! :sunny:

Working on a deadline for tomorrow, but I just wanted to pop in to say "Hi!" and offer some     to those in need.

Kids all enjoyed Bedtime Stories. I did not have to cover anyone's eyes and/or ears. Not sure exactly what won the PG rating on the film. :confused3

We've done Fantasmic dining package last two trips (Brown Derby w/Jenny and Mama Melrose w/whole family), and it worked well both times. :thumbsup2 Next time, we're trying to decide whether Brown Derby would be too long a wait and not as DS6-friendly as Mama Melrose or Hollywood & Vine. We've never done Hollywood & Vine, so no clue on that one. :sad2:

We like to start our trip at CM. When we drive in, we typically don't go to a park the first day but arrive just after lunch time, get settled at the resort, hit the pool, see ::MickeyMo and friends at CM for opening dinner, and get to sleep reasonably early to hit a park at rope drop the next AM. I'm the one in the family that pushes for CP. I can't miss an opportunity to bounce with :tigger:, preferably before I start eating...

*** popping out, back to your regularly scheduled Sunday thread :happytv: as I head back to this dratted document I have to file tomorrow :surfweb: ***

Then I did about 45 mins on the Wii Fit and almost killed myself hullahooping but hey I have the top score :rotfl2:

I was feeling better last night so I decided to open my new Wii Fit. I fell off the board hula hooping.

Okay...the 22nd has to be at MK. We won't do a park on the first day.

We need 2 days at MK, 1 AK, 1 MGM, 2 Epcot, and we'll need to do DTD in there somewhere. Either 1st or maybe last day as well. Or an evening.

We are going to do Fantasmic package...but I don't know where to eat? Remember...just me and Jon.

We want to try T-Rex cafe.

Also on the list, per Jon are: Chef Mickey's. And maybe CP. :confused3

We also want to do Ohana's for dinner.

And in there needs to be Boma.

That's it.
Okay- Got ya...
Here's my revised plan... :goodvibes
3/21- No park (Boma- dinner)
3/22- MK (Ohana- dinner)
3/23- Epcot
3/24- AK/ DTD (T-Rex- lunch)
3/25- MK (Chef Mickey- dinner)
3/26- DHS (Fantasmic pkg- Mama Melroses)
3/27- Epcot
3/28- MK (CP- lunch)

I don't know when you're leaving, but you could push the CP to dinner, if you wanted to. Also, I like Mama Melrose's a lot. They were extremely slow, but since the packages usually have 4pm times, you'll have plenty of time to get to your show. DHS only has Fantsmic shows on the 22nd, 25th, and 26th, so that's the hardest days. None of these days are "don't go there days" except your first day at MK, so they should be pretty good as far as crowds go.

:goodvibes I hope this helps.

:confused3 We haven't seen it, but I use this site to find out what's in the movie and whether I want the kids to see it or not:

Shopping with other people's money is always fun!

I think I have a plan...
4/26- Epcot (dinner @ Garden Grill)
4/27- MK (our anniversary dinner @ Ohana)
4/28- AK/DTD
4/29- Epcot (dinner @ Coral Reef)
4/30- DHS (Mama Melrose's Fantasmic Package)
5/1- MK (1900 Park Faire)
5/2- Epcot (dinner at Le Cellier)
5/3- MK? Whatever park we want a half day at...
(late lunch at Kona- then hit the road)

How's it look? :confused3

See, Jen? You caught me in a planning mode! :rotfl:

:lmao: Could you put in a good word for me? :flower3: ;)
Of course :rotfl2:

Not when they're 10 and 12 and want to go in different directions and want to buy things I won't allow :rotfl2:

Looks great to me :thumbsup2 One thing I would say is even with the Fantasmic package still get to your seats early especially if that's a night it closes at 8.30pm and Fantastmic is at 9pm! Actually looking at your dining list Dawn we love all those places :goodvibes

 Yeah, I guess not. Luckily, Baylie doesn't really want to buy things I won't allow so far.

Thanks, Jo. I was just wondering if that was a typo that DHS closes at 8:30 and there's a 9pm show. Would 8 be good? :confused3 :surfweb:
It's all about the food, right? ;)

But David it's Sunday :confused3
I know. :sad2: It doesn't change the deadline though, and I need to be ready to jump when the client is available tomorrow morning to get all the ducks in a row for filing...

If I don't, I'm more likely to be stressing tomorrow in the early evening about getting the document filed timely. During my career, I've had enough 11PM jaunts to the 24-hour post office near the airport to assure a mailing date before midnight to know that it stresses me to no end to bring it down to the wire. It still may happen if for some reason the client is not ready or unavailable when I need input. I just hope not. At least nowadays, I'll be frantically trying to electronically file something over the Internet at 11PM rather than driving to the airport post office.

At this point though, I'm just happy I've got work to do that I can bill out at the end of this month, and hopefully, have paid by the end of January.

Anyway, it's just after 5PM here, so I'm calling it a day on the work side and going to see how Jenny and the kids are doing downstairs. Have a good evening everyone!

 Yeah, I guess not. Luckily, Baylie doesn't really want to buy things I won't allow so far.
It's more things like they want higher heels on their boots than I'd allow or to buy something that IMHO is a waste of money, but then I am tight :rotfl2:

I've never been there when that's happened, maybe another TFWer has :confused3 It kind of defeats the object of the dining package to still have to get there an hour early. I think we arrived about 20 minutes early and lots of the seats had already gone, one tip is to take some playing cards or similar and snacks to pass the time :thumbsup2 Oh and a cushion ;) :rotfl2:

See, now you're all depressing me, since I don't have a trip to plan. :rotfl:

It all looks good. Dawn, you arrive on D's birthday and the next is the boys' - have a birthday drink with your anniversary celebration for the NH contingent, OK? :goodvibes

My mom and grandma are all upset because my *@*$&@* uncle called, all ticked because he didn't know they got here safely. Well, he said HE would call here Friday night, to see if they came or not, and waited until today to do it, then wouldn't talk to my mom and chewed out Grandma.

***hole.

We went bowling, so that was fun, and I think we're ordering in pizza and sandwiches. So it will be fine, but seriously...

Anyway, better go take care of dinner. Just needed a quick vent. Thanks!

I'm off now. I've been on for a while and Kirt should be home soon. I need to look like I haven't been chatting all afternoon! ;) :lmao:
Have a nice, restful night everyone. :goodvibes

At least that's a bit better and you're working from home is better too. Have a nice relaxing evening and I hope it all works out tomorrow :thumbsup2

OK guys I'm off to bed, see you tomorrow if I survive the shopping trip :rotfl:

I know how you feel. Kirt's one of the last to go too, but having to be the one laying people off has really taken a toll on him. :sad1:
He's worried for his job, but I told him we'll work it out no matter what happens.

Well, thankfully Bob doesn't have to do the laying off! That would kill him, I think.

WIll keep him in my thoughts!:goodvibes

Me too, Angela. I'm sure he'll be fine though.

OOuch, that is hard Mel. It is always so difficult when an area relies heavily on one industry. Lets hope things brighten up and people start buying some new cars!

(shhhh. we both drive Hondas...:ssst: )

We can start a collection Dawn to make sure that ALL of our questions get through;) :lmao:

How about this one..How long is the walk from DTD to SSR:rotfl2:

Yes, I'd like to know this too, Jo. We're going to be there in 3 wks or so....

I don't know what to suggest. I'm having my own crisis of planning days, which trumps ADRs. Teasing. ;)

So, what are you looking at? Have you asked Jo? We need to milk our friendship with her as much as possible.

Ha!

Errrrr make some decisions ;) or let us make them :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

Yes, let us make them.....

Have you guys ever seen a DHS day that has the park hours of 9-8:30 with a 9pm showing of Fantasmic? It's weirding me out. We're only going to DHS one day and the best day to go doesn't have a show. So, I want to make sure I pick a night that is going to work.

This time I'm doing the Fantasmic package since we couldn't find a place to sit last time. It was awful, so we left and didn't see the show. :guilty:

OK, this I know! We have done the Fantasmic Pkg. 5 times so far. Every time at Hollywood and Vine. It's one of our FAVE places to eat with the kids. The food is buffet, with TONS of variety! Really nice stuff too, not just the cheapo chicken nuggets etc. Shrimp, salmon, roast pork, prime rib etc. The only glitch is that they sometimes make you go at a weird time. (For example, we once had an adr for 3:50 pm and Fantasmic was at 8 pm so they made us go to the side entrance at 6:30 pm. That sorta stunk cuz we had to be at H&V at 3:40 for the ressie, then ate, left about 5:20 or so and only had till 6:30 to do stuff---it eats up a LONG time!)
I wouldn't do Fantasmic WITHOUT the package, but JMHO...

We want to try T-Rex cafe.

Us too. I don't know if you can make adr's yet. Allears said they had opened but weren't accepting adr's yet.....:confused3

Good! ( Except that I'd do CM for bfast....that's just me though )

It appears I will be at Epcot on your b-day. Grey Goose slushie it is! :teeth:

Ooooh. Yummo.

Hello Fockers!

Gus and I went to tour the Athletic Club near us. I've been debating a membership for a while now and they are pretty close to our house.
We usually do a summer membership at the older, raquet club in the opposite direction but it's old and needs updating. I hate their locker/bathrooms and they had NO amenities at all to speak of. The new club has TONS of classes, like spinning, pilates, yoga, weight training, water aerobics and they are all included in the price!!! A great NEW pool with clean locker rooms too! AND it's cheaper! SO, I think we'll do it. Yay!!!

Then we went and got the bindings put on his new snowboard. That was easy enough. Finally, we dropped into Lane Bryant to return an UGLY turtleneck that Bob bought me for Xmas. (he's not ALWAYS good at gifts...) I got two long sleeve t's instead.

I've got dinner all made. We're having a three bean soup, it smells so good. Gus is having salmon. He didn't want soup!

Tonight we are watching Wall E. The boys got it from my mom for Xmas. :santa:

The WDW plans all look great. I haven't got mine worked out yet. I only know:
1/25 fly to FL
1/26 Epcot/9 dragons dinner
1/27
1/28
1/29
1/30 DHS
1/31 fly home

So, what do you guys think? I need a bfast of puffy french toast in there somewhere. Oh, and the kids want to do a water park, but in my opinion it's WAY too cold to do that in Jan. :confused3

Gimme what you got!!

MEL
