Mel,

I ordered some dried cherries from Cherry Republic one year and made oatmeal cherry cookies, oatmeal pecan cherry cookies, and oatmeal choc chip cookies. They were soooooo good.

So, what did everyone think about the winner of the Biggest Loser?? I for one am very happy! I think the best person won! I won't say who because I know we have some West Coasters out there.

I was sooooooooooooo happy. The one I wanted to win, won!:cool1:

I had to laugh though...Ed begging for everyone to vote for Heba came back and bit him the butt:lmao:

I got an email from the wife of our friend who passed away a few months ago. Her stepson's mother had 10 hour brain surgery Monday to remove a tumor the size of a lemon on her brainstem. I never met Susan when she was married to George but I hope it's not bad as I think it sounds. Your early 20's is too young to lose one parent let alone two.

Oh Angela, that's just horrible. I will keep them in my thoughts!:goodvibes

It is snowing buckets here, I am sure I will be getting a good work out shoveling snow when I get home. :scared:

Ack! We got a dusting yesterday/last night and now it ALL GONE:yay:

Good Morning Everyone!

Morning Mel

I haven't heard from Mo, and I texted her last week. Maybe we need to actually CALL her??? I will try an email this morning. She might just be busy at work. :confused3

I texted her a couple of times too..no response. I was going to give her a call this afternoon (after a meeting). I'm starting to get a bit worried!

before I pick up SD from Military History Club.

Jim would love a club like this. He tried to get one started at his school, but the kids just weren't interested:sad2:

Wanted to post a quick update on the MIL. FIL called late last night after seeing the neurologist. Nothing is broken, so that's good. I guess the vertabrae are just twisted, so they're going to put her in traction for a day to see if that helps straighten her neck out. She's in a lot of pain, but that's to be expected.

Also, DH talked to his dad and I guess they were rear-ended. The accident was the other person's fault, so hopefully his/her insurance will cover the majority of the medical and car repair costs. I was glad to hear it wasn't their fault, as they are getting up there in age. My FIL has always been a safe driver when I've been with him. A little too safe at times, if you know what I mean....

Jodi, glad the news is good! I kwym about the too safe driving. My mother drives using two feet:headache:

Today is going to be one of those days, I can tell already. DD4 woke up at 3:00 am and started throwing up. She's continued to throw up through the night. So, no school for her today. DD7's school is on a two hour delay, so the bus won't come until 10:30 am. Today was supposed to be a special program where a parent comes in to help the child build a gingerbread house out of graham crackers, frosting and various candies. The class was also going to put on a play, in which my DD7 had the lead role. This all has now been moved to tomorrow, which in itself is not a problem other than we're not allowed to bring siblings and now I have to find a sitter for DD4. Most of my friends also have second graders, so they're in the same boat. I'm going to have to call around today. It's not like I can use the inlaws! And I just hope she's feeling better by then or I won't be able to leave her with anyone.

Hope she is feeling better!

Work. Lots to do before I take some vacation time.

Blech!

Thanks Katt, but I think I also have enough common sense NOT to want to be higher-up, lol!

So true:lmao:

Well, Leo's mood hasn't improved all week, which is dragging me way down; he goes to his dad's after school Fri. and I won't see him again until 11am Xmas day. Why can't the days before he goes away be better? :sad1:

Maybe this is his way of saying he doesn't want to go to his dad's????

And, since I need to postpone school for a year, I think I might try - GASP! - dating again. Ugh, is it bad that I'm dreading the prospect?!

Go fot it...but you know that all potential dates must be approved by the Fockers right:rolleyes1

oooh! Jen's getting a sex change after Christmas, so possibly you could date her/him. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

I will post all three.

Thanks Mel!

Mornin', all...

:wave2:

Janet, woohooty for Jimmy!

Hi, everyone!

See you all later! Hope everyone has a good day!

You too!

=========================================+++++++++++++++++

Good Morning everyone! Not much going on here. Have got a meeting in about 45 minutes:sad2: Will check back in later!

oooh! Jen's getting a sex change after Christmas, so possibly you could date her/him. :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

I will post all three. These are DEAR to my heart, people, just like you! I make them EVERY year.
It's the same with me when I use something we got as a wedding gift. I'm always reminded of the lovely people who gave it to us. :goodvibes

It's snowing away this morning. We've not had a lot of accumulation, but it's more than we've had yet this year.
Stay warm! :thumbsup2

 Hugs to everyone with friends/family who aren't doing well and sick kids.

I think that could work. :thumbsup2

Well, the truck's bought. He got a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with power start, a free spray-in bedliner, free car washes for a year... and it was 20, 000 less than it was marked because they had over 100 and were trying to get rid of them. We've never own a car/truck that wasn't 2-3 years old until mine. Mine's a 2007 and Kirt's only had 33 miles on it!

On another good note, K got a bonus yesterday. I'm thinking I'd like to get a Wii for the kids. Any suggestions on add-ons or games? Someone told me we'd be fine to just play the sports pack for a while. I'm also really interested in Rock Band. :confused3
If you answer me, don't quote this, so the kids won't read it over my shoulder... Thanks!

We're going shopping later for a coat for me and a few more pairs of pants/comfy long sleeve shirts. I have nice clothes, I just don't have anything to chill in.

So, I'll be around for a while. Start chatting... popcorn::

THANK GOODNESS.. I was beginning to think the postal Service had lost it and my SS gift. Sorry it was not "blue" I tried to find a Blue one for your tree. and I was missing an Ingredient( THAT I LOANED TO SOMEONE:headache: :headache: :headache: ) to make you a special one...

AND IT DOES NOT LOOK BROKEN

I have 2 trees!!! :teeth:

It is proudly displayed for all to see! ;)

oooh! Jen's getting a sex change after Christmas, so possibly you could date her/him. :rotfl2:

I was sooooooooooooo happy. The one I wanted to win, won!:cool1:

I had to laugh though...Ed begging for everyone to vote for Heba came back and bit him the butt:lmao:

It's interesting though. I did the math and Heba would have won had she been in the finals! I think the public wanted Michelle to win and knew that this was the way to go.

Fine people. I'm getting married.

Jen says what????? HUH??????? :scared1:

Congratulations!!!!!

So, have you set a date and are all of us invited????? :rolleyes1

Jim would love a club like this. He tried to get one started at his school, but the kids just weren't interested:sad2:

Mitch would too! Supposedly he's to get an MBA, when?, for the Army but it can be in whatever he wants. His Military History magazine has an online MBA so I think that's what he should do. :thumbsup2

and it was 20, 000 less than it was marked

Awesome deal!

Fine people. I'm getting married.

:rolleyes1 I'll need more information than that!

:cheer2:Congratulations :cool1:

Dawn,

My DH just called to tell me about his bonus as well. Unfortunately, it's already spent with Christmas presents and medical bills. But my vote is to go for it. If it's something your kids will enjoy (and you too), I think you should get one!
