I just got dressed and am about to head out. :lmao: I wouldn't be in such a hurry to go to Target, but they have a Starbucks there. :cloud9:
PJ day didn't last long then :rotfl2:

I am stuck home waiting for the oxygen machine delivery for Grandma, anyway, so... I need to get off the DIS! :rotfl:
When's Grandma coming?

Then she says, "You need to clear out around your mailbox."
OMG
She didn't :headache:

Major announcement!!!
I have completed my TR!!!!!!:cool1: I wanted to get it done before Christmas and by golly I got her done.
I'll check it out in a mo :thumbsup2

This is so scary! Please take a minute to read this post about the Honey I Shrunk... playgrounds.

OMG scary!!!!

Okay, we've got another ice storm headed this way, so I've got to run out and do some errands really quick. Gotta pick up a bookstore gift card for my dad (thanks to the stupid sporting goods internet site) and I'm out of laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. Can't live without those!
Stay safe :hug:

I've got a client with a deadline on Friday. :faint: I've been warning them for the last 3-4 months about the deadline, and they finally e-mail'd me input and instructions last night...
Isn't Friday a holiday there?

Should I mention that we have 5 more trees up? :rolleyes1 Don't get too excited; each child has one and there is a small one in my bathroom and I made a palm tree in the kid bathroom. I'll post some more pics tonight.
:faint: :rotfl2:

I'm up late. I can't sleep. We got news that Emilie is going faster than anyone ever thought. My heart is just broken. I can't believe she is dying and leaving her wonderful husband and 2 babies. Why! It is not fair. She is not ready to die. They need her.

:hug: :hug: This is very sad and my heart breaks for her and her family.:guilty:

thanks. and if i hate my new er, maybe i'll come to miami and work in yours!!!

OMG can you imagine!!! That'd be so fun and you'd be close to the Motherland! :goodvibes
looks like fun and :lmao: about the coquito!!! are ER people the same everywhere??? :lmao:
Probably! :rotfl2: :lmao:

Morning, and hugs all around. :grouphug:

Morning V!!:hug:

Z- Adorable pictures! btw cute Tink Christmas card too. That was a lot of cricut cutting. wowo!

I'm glad it arrived!! Thank goodness. OMG the cricutting was a lot. Tink wasn't too bad, but next time I'm gonna make her bigger. I did make some Princesses and those were pretty tough and the wreath was a punch. But it was fun. :goodvibes

Sorry about your parking space getting stolen. I really hate driving this time of year. The traffic here has been horrendous since after Halloween!! :sad2:

I don't know if I'll make it back on here before I leave. I wish everybody a safe and Happy Holiday!! See you around the New Year!!!!

Have a great trip and Happy Holidays and New Year to you too!!!

Should I mention that we have 5 more trees up? :rolleyes1 Don't get too excited; each child has one and there is a small one in my bathroom and I made a palm tree in the kid bathroom. I'll post some more pics tonight.

:eek: :faint: They are lovely though, I really like the Gingerbread tree.

I still have to post my pics, but I'm on the laptop, so later.

Janet: Congrats to Jimmy!! I forgot in my last post. :flower3: and :woohoo: on officially being on vacay.

Dawn that story was skeery!! I'm telling you I think I'd leash my small kids if I were in Disney. I was constantly trying to keep track and keep reminding my 10 year old cousin last year when we went because he had a tendency of wandering off or ahead of us. It's pretty tough in big crowds to keep track of little people, yet I see it all the time when I'm up there. The kids will be playing and the parents aren't even watching because they're either busy with their other smaller children or talking to the other adults. :sad2:

Mel: :rotfl: @ NOV!!! I would've never have gotten that!
You have to tell me exact dates in Jan. Yani and I have seasonal passes so we could drive up for the day and not have to worry about paying for park entrance. ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So I woke up early this morning with every intention of going out and getting all my errands done and then my mom roped me in to making some coquito and all of a sudden I got sleepy. I wonder if it was the rum from taste testing the coquito. :rolleyes1
So I'm still in my PJ's and now have to brave the grocery store and the mall to find last minute gifts because I've been totally lazy.
Wish me luck!! :scared:
I WOULD LOVE to see you and Yani!!!
We have a two bedroom villa at SSR so, we could make room for you to spend the night if you want....
The way they do the 2br at SSR is a studio connected to a one bedroom villa. So, the two big kids (SD & friend) have the studio and Gus, Me and Notbob have the 1br. (But, we can put Gus and SD and friend in the studio for a night) and you and Yani could have the Queen sleeper. The rooms are private (the king bedroom is in a sep. room!)
We'll talk as it gets closer! I'd hate you guys to have to drive all the way back to Miami when we've got room!
MEL
Here you go Kate. It's so good. :thumbsup2 And easy!
So I'm still in my PJ's and now have to brave the grocery store and the mall to find last minute gifts because I've been totally lazy.
My BIL still hasn't decided what he wants me to make for Christmas so I haven't been to the store either! :eek:
Just got home from a grocery store run and it took me three times as long as normal to get home. The streets are literally a sheet of ice! I drove maybe 10 mph all the way home, and I was still sliding around something awful!
Just glad we made it home safely. I'm in for the rest of the night! Gotta finish the laundry and the cleaning. Hopefully things will be better tomorrow when we're driving up to my brother's house for Christmas!
Isn't Friday a holiday there?
Thank you, Jo! :yay: I'm glad I took a quick break to read.
It's not officially a holiday. But, I just checked the U.S. Patent Office's Web site, and late yesterday, they issues a news release that they will close Friday and consider anything that was due Friday as timely if filed on Monday. :woohoo: I'm going to keep working on it, but the pressure is a little off knowing I've got the weekend and the early half of Monday if I need it.
I'm still not too happy about the late instruction from the client...:headache:
I just read about a little girl named Hannah Garman whose dying wish is to receive cards.
I double checked on snopes, and unfortunately it is true.
So if you can find the time, pop a card in the mail and we can give her a big Focker hug!
I'm up late. I can't sleep. We got news that Emilie is going faster than anyone ever thought. My heart is just broken. I can't believe she is dying and leaving her wonderful husband and 2 babies. Why! It is not fair. She is not ready to die. They need her.
Osborne Lights
Thanks for sharing Angela!
I ordered a jacket for my Dad on Dec 8th and it hadn't arrived yet, so I decided on Sunday to check online to see if it had been shipped. When I checked the status of my order, it said "cancelled." Apparently they sold out of the size I ordered and the notification email they say that they sent to me must have gone to my spam filter. So, I have to find something for my dad now. Really wasn't planning on shopping today.
Hopefully you'll be able to find something!
congrats jimmy!!
Thank you!
Morning, and hugs all around.
Hi V :wave2:
We're having PJ Day today. Five bucks says I'll get antsy and find a reason to leave the house.
I give you an hour:rolleyes:
Janet- I feel your pain. Been there, done that... nightly! I think we need to build them their own snore rooms. btw, thanks for the repost. I love that you decorated the air conditioner.
Sometimes it's so bad that I can still hear him if he is upstairs and I am on the couch
HAd to do something with the AC, it's stuck right in the wall:headache:
Go Jimmy!!! WhooHoo!
:yay:
The good news is that my sis got her package so at least it made it for Xmas. It only took 9 days to go from Mi to Mass via Priority mail!!! Wow, you go PO, that's some FAST service, eh???? Argh.
HOw is your sister making out Mel!
I tried that last night, but it's an NHL jacket and since we don't have a local team, most of the sporting goods stores around here don't carry NHL merchandise. I just want to buy a Chicago Blackhawks jacket! ARGHHH!!!!!!
.
Chicago Blackhawks :eek:
I'm shattered, the house is clean though and all the ironing is done. I hate this part of staying home for Christmas
::yes::
I just got dressed and am about to head out. I wouldn't be in such a hurry to go to Target, but they have a Starbucks there.
Be back soon.
You lasted longer than I would have!!!
Yes, thanks. He met us right at the concert, maybe 3 minutes after we got there.
Glad D made it home in time!
So, I went to the Postal Annex to pick up my mail since THURS. There were 10 people in front of me! I got to the window, finally, and told her my address. She disappears into the back and comes back with a stack of mail, and a box. Then she says, "You need to clear out around your mailbox."
OMG
OMG
I almost killed her right there with my bare hands. Are you kidding!!!!???
There's over a FOOT of snow on my street. Where am I supposed to CLEAR out? I can't even WALK TO IT. OMG.
My blood pressure must have been sky high.
:hug: How annoying!
Major announcement!!!
I have completed my TR!!!!!!:cool1: I wanted to get it done before Christmas and by golly I got her done. Now I can concentrate on catching up on all of yours!!!
I don't know if I'll make it back on here before I leave. I wish everybody a safe and Happy Holiday!! See you around the New Year!!!!
Will check it out soon!
=================================================
Good Evening everyone:goodvibes I have been running around since 8:15 :faint: I took Jimmy to school. From there I dropped something off at the IL's and then went grocery shopping. Came back from there, put all the food away, and had something to eat. Then I did 2 loads of laundry, picked Jimmy up from school, came home and did another load of laundry. Went to get my hair cut, got the car washed, and now I am home and doing more laundry. I still have a TON to do and so little time:sad2:
So I'm just about finished with getting stuff for stockings. That's always the hardest part for me. #2 son wants kalamata olives and capers in his :confused3
:rotfl2:Is he the one who likes escargot? I think I like him. :thumbsup2
Angela cute trees, are those all real presents under the big one?
Did it look like that many? There are about 1/2 as many as last year. :rotfl:
I am beyond frustrated right now!
I received a letter in the mail today from one of the Nursing programs I applied to stating that I do not have the "minimum requirements"
These supposed missing requirements are
"Grade 12" Biology
"Grade 12" Chemistry
Well in the States they don't offer "Grade 12" Biology and Chemistry trey simply offer Biology and Chemistry taken at grade 10 and 11. They are the same courses though. :mad: I had to pay the college a $90 fee to "translate" my transcript to Ontario standards and this is what I get.
I sent off a nice e-mail explaining how I meet the requirements and do they require any other proof, blah blah blah. I probably won't hear anything back until the New Year though. This is just really cheesing me off! :mad:
Having an American high school education is really working against me right now even though the education I received in Va Beach is far superior than what I would have gotten here.
First...thanks for all of the hugs and encouragement. When we know something, I'll let you know. For now...I can't bare the thought of another diagnosis and doctor. Not until after the holidays. But, thank you for the hugs and kind words.
We're back home from Albuquerque. It was soooo wierd driving home. It snowed overnight in Abq...and when we left it was flurries. For 45 minutes it was a blizzard on the interstate, and we were literally going about 45 mph. Then, it began to sleet and the sun came out. Then it began to pour. Then the sun came out. Then it got really windy. Then it began to rain. The sun came out. Then it got really cloudy and began to rain again. There was also a 25 jump in temps on the way home. All in the span of 3 1/2 hours. But, we're home. Safe and sound!
You guys sure were chatty. I only quoted a few. :hug: all around. Glad to be home.
I came back to cards from Rachel, Z, Mel, Jodi, and TE! What a welcome home! :cool1:
What'd you see?? popcorn::
Milk. With Sean Penn.
I'm up late. I can't sleep. We got news that Emilie is going faster than anyone ever thought. My heart is just broken. I can't believe she is dying and leaving her wonderful husband and 2 babies. Why! It is not fair. She is not ready to die. They need her.
peace. :sad1:
I'm going to go back track and read the thread and hope that I can fall asleep soon. My little "brother" flies home tomorrow AM from Chile. I need to leave for the airport by 9.
Oh honey. :hug: My thoughts are with you. Please let me know if you need ANYTHING!
I've been missing chatting with ya all. Things are just way more busy than I hoped they would be.. and ONCE AGAIN.. I have not one present wrapped.. :headache:
so ONCE AGAIN .. I"LL BE UP LATE wrapping presents :faint:
I am behind somewhere around 13-15 pages... Tried to take it all in but my mind is too fuzzy. Nothing BAD really... Just too much stuff going on.
Oooh Oooh Oooh I DID FIND SOMETHING that is making me relax a bit... Some bath Salts that have "eucalyptus and Spearmint in it" .. It's a Stress reliever sold at "Bath and Body Works"... This stuff is INCREDIBLE.. add in a cappuccino or two.. :rolleyes1 and I don't care what is going on in my life for a few hours. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.. It smells a little weird and sounds weirder.. but I promise you will LOVE IT.
O.K... I mentioned Friday or Saturday.. that I got my "Ornament" But I just have not been able to upload a picture of it till now.
This is from a Little Gal.. that was in "THE WORLD" not too long ago.
It has a little Marble in each section so it does "Jingle" and Jangle" and Rattle :lmao:
100_3780.jpg
I LOVE IT ....It's RED.. which is really my FAVORITE COLOR.
(Other than Wildcat Blue of Course):cheer2:
WebkinzCollie-2.jpg
Oh BTW .. I saw that UT Tree Angela :eek: ...my eyes my eyes.... Just Kidding :)
AND ON MONDAY.... I get another package .............FINALLY:rolleyes1
From a VERY VERY Special "Focker"
Who made sure I had something "Lime" for Christmas...;)
100_3764.jpg
and these are magnets for my refrigerator..
100_3771.jpg
Jen ... I did see that your friend is failing fast. No it does not seem fair. Those babies do seem that they would be better off with their momma... maybe one day it will make sense ... why...
Anything MAJOR falling apart in anybodies life... ?? :guilty: I hope not
Did we have any secret elopements :bride: popcorn::
Can someone pass the Mommy of the Year award over here?? I'm ready to find a job just so that I can put my kids in daycare during break!!!!!!! :mad: All they've done all day is fight with each other. So, when they started fighting over who should pick up what thing, I told them to grab what belonged to them and go to bed. Period. I'm done listening to them bicker constantly.
Other than that, I do have some good news. The MIL came home today. And they made it home before the roads turned into sheets of ice. The only thing that is somewhat concerning is the total lack of instruction the nurses seemed to give her. Basically, she's supposed to see the doctor in two weeks. When I asked my FIL about physical therapy, etc., he said they never mentioned it. :confused3 I think I'm going to suggest to DH that he go over there and read through the discharge paperwork. My FIL couldn't even tell me which doctor she had to see in two weeks! Let's just say my FIL is not a detail person! :eek:
DH got paged into the fire department because of the ice this afternoon. It's really bad out there. Luckily, it's supposed to warm up over night so that it's almost 40 in the morning. Hopefully that will be good enough to melt what's on the road.
We're headed up to Fort Wayne tomorrow to do Christmas with my side of the family. We're going to my brother's house. Should be a good time. There will be 19 of us.
BTW, Janet, my dad is a Blackhawks fan, not me. My loyalties remain with my beloved Red Wings! :banana: And I'll definitely be rooting for the Eagles to take out the Cowgirls this weekend. Not sure what gameplan the Colts will have. Both they and the Titans (who they play on Sunday) have cemented their playoff positions, so the game doesn't matter to either team. Even though it makes sense to rest some of our injured starters, it sure would be nice to take down the #1 seed heading into the playoffs. :rolleyes1
Katt - very nice presents.
Jen - Here's another :hug: I totally understand about not wanting to deal with doctors, etc. right now. We're here if you need to vent. :grouphug:
I got my ornament yesterday (thanks, CE!). I'm still trying to get a picture of everything and get it posted. I'll also try to get a pic of my tree and fireplace. When are we revealing our Secret Santas???
First...thanks for all of the hugs and encouragement. When we know something, I'll let you know. For now...I can't bare the thought of another diagnosis and doctor. Not until after the holidays. But, thank you for the hugs and kind words.
Some more for good measure:hug:
Milk. With Sean Penn.
How was it? It is getting all kinds of accolades!
Ok so I survived traffic, but it was :crazy: OMG even the pet store was busy!! Is the economy getting better and I don't know about it? :confused3 Because people were coming out of the stores with bags upon bags.
Same here Z. You would have thought there was a blizzrd coming with the crowds that were at the Supermarket at *;30 in the morning :faint:
Ok here's my tree and stuff:
