Does the process differ for booking a second room you are not staying in?

We may be doing a trip where we will be the ones to book and pay for a second room for extended family. Since we will be assigned to another room and not physically in the second one, is there a particular process to follow to avoid a booking conflict?

Just put the other guests on the second room. When you check out you can use the drop down menu to switch the lead guest from yourself to anyone else on your friends and family list. Be sure that everyone is on your list before you start.

You can book a room for your guests without adding your name to the reservation. You can then pay for the reservation with your credit card. You can also add your card to the room so that room charges go to your card. Disney doesn't care who pays for the room. I've booked many rooms for extended family. I've never had any problem booking it under their names or using my credit card to pay for it. :)
