so here are the 7 ts rest i'm thinking. we're staying at poly , so i'm doing both there as it will be convienent.

akershus ( we loved the dinner here last yr and regan wants to do princesses again)

teppan edo ( is this the one with the grill where they cook right in front of you?)

kona

ohana

donalds safari breakfast

boma

not sure on the last one... maybe
whispering canyon cafe. not sure how much time it will take to get to this resort. i guess we could drive over since we'll have a car.

here are the crowd levels for that week. is this bad, good , or so-so??

sat sept 19--- 7
sun sept 20--- 5
mon sept 21---6
tues sept 22---4
wed sept 23--- 5
thu sept 24--- 6
fri sept 25--- 4
sat sept 26--- 7

and how often do they adjust the crowd level??? thanks everyone! i know i'll get great info from my expert planners!!

another question....

did they change the dining resv?? can you not make reserv. 180 days in advance now??? i'm confused.

I believe it's 90 days now.

Boma is wonderful! Don't drop it. :goodvibes

thanks , i loved it too. we are repeating that one since it was soooo delicious! would you do whisp canyon? or something at gf?? remember must be kid friendly place! thanks z

is lecellier okay with little kids??

Yep. The kids loved it too. My ds loves steak and Tink had pizza last time, which we boxes for dinner, as she ate ds's cheese soup and bread (yummo). Their mushroom fillet and maple creme brule are my favorites (and I hate mushrooms).

Hmmmm how about 50's prime time, Liberty Tree Tavern, T-Rex in DTD?
At GF I'd say try the 1900 PF dinner, but I'm not sure how much your sons would like that one, especially if you're doing Akershus. Might be too much princess overload. :confused3

They all look good though although I'm not an Akershus food fan:scared:

yeah, def don't want princess overload. i let them each pick one rest. she picked askershus and he picked donalds b-fast. i really want to try t rex , but i've heard it's not on the dining plan! ltt looks good too.

trying to look at emh. we do the am ones , then leave around 11am when it starts getting busy. now, i know the hours aren't out for sept. but, i've been looking at past days and they seem to be same days of week for each park. anyone know anything bout this??

i know i've been gone for a few weeks, now i'm bugging the crap out of you guys! figure i better make up for lost time!:rotfl2:

The Plan: To Celebrate the Boyfriend's birthday in the Happiest Place on Earth!!! :woohoo:

We were originally supposed to leave early morning on Feb 17th. But I was getting antsy and the bf had the day off today, so why not leave a day early!

So whilst, DISing and FBing and with a little push from S'late I ended up finding a cheap offsite hotel for an overnight stay. I texted the bf and he agreed to the idea, so I booked! We were officially staying at the Quality Inn for a deal of $29.99 (plus tax of course).

I quickly packed, cleaned the house and got ready. The bf showed up at 3pm and we were off. We made some short stops for some necessary buys (like a battery for my toll paying thingy). We were finally off to the Motherland!!!!

After 2 rest stops for the bf to have some cancer sticks :sad2: we had finally arrived around 8-ish. First stop! Food!

We passed through the Disney gates and were headed to the Beach Club for a loverly dinner at Beaches 'n Cream. We had a 45 min. wait, but were eventually seated and happily eating our delicious roast beef subs. :cloud9:

I had texted my friend Yani to see if she could find out what time was Wishes was going to go off to see if we could make it to the Poly beach to see them, but she texted me back too late. Oh well.

It was pretty nippy in Orlando that night, around 45 degrees, so I was more than happy to just hit the hotel and pass out. So with the bf's trusty GPS we found our hotel for the night, checked in and I prayed it would be clean and not smell.

Luckily for us it was just fine. Regular hotel room, nothing to write home about, but for the price we got I was not complaining. So we turned in for the night for an early wake up the next day. I told the bf AIS time was 7:30am and he was not really happy about that. Tough. We're in my happy place so he had to deal. :stir:

oh , i'm sooo glad your hotel was okay! that's the one thing that scares me the most. yucky hotel rooms!! glad it was clean!

and :lmao: about the ais team for bf! can't wait to see if he complied!! popcorn::

After a nice nights sleep, I woke up before my alarm and decided to get ready. As soon as my phone alarm went off I woke the bf up and he slowly rolled out of bed and got ready.

We packed up and were out the door in good time, I checked out and we were off to McD's for some breakfast before heading to check in at our home away from home for today. I sang the bf Happy Birthday....badly....:p and asked him if he had decided what park he wished to spend the day at. He had decided on Epcot. :yay:

After our quick breakfast at the gourmet McD's on International Drive.....has anyone eaten here? OMG they had so much food selection. They had waffles, and pancakes and crepes and so much for breakfast and they even had pastas and pizza for dinner/lunch. It was kinda weird. Needless to say we chose boring regular old McD's food.

We drove towards DTD to OKW where we were staying for the night tonight. (thanks S'late!! ) I knew our room wasn't ready since it was around 830am, but I figured we could at least check in and get our keys to the world since we were going to be on the ddp and we could leave the car at the resort and hop a bus over to the park.

So we checked in with no problem (thank goodness), got our keys, and the bf got his birthday pin from our wonderfully fabulous CM that checked us in. He was so nice and a great way to start off the morning. I am proud to say that the bf wore his pin proudly. :goodvibes

We stepped out to the bus stop in front of the check in and waited for the next Epcot bus to whisk us away. The morning was a little cool again, the high was supposed to be 70 which is pretty perfect. I had picked up a times guide in the lobby of OKW and had a mini heartattack when I found out that Epcot had morning EMH today. :faint: I let the bf know and was a little anxious because when the Epcot bus finally pulled up everyone waiting on the bus stop got on with us. Oh nooo!!! We're one of "them" today! :sad2:

I was trying to be optimistic thinking, well it's mid-February how busy can the parks really be? I'd soon find out I was kidding myself.

We got out and the bf stopped for a cancer stick :sad2: and an obligatory photo:

We went to Guest relations to pick up the bf's free birthday admission only to be told that we had to go over to the Will Call ticket booths instead. So we trekked on over and got his free ticket. The CM here was very nice as well and FYI we were able to add on park hopping to the ticket! (we paid of course).

With ticket in hand we passed through the turnstiles (the bf got some more Happy Bday wishes), along with the throngs of "thems" and stopped for some more obligatory photos:

I decided I wanted to be in some of these pics too, so I asked a gentleman who was standing nearby to take our pic and he was more than happy too
CIMG7353.jpg

apparently this guy must've been a photopass photographer on his day off because he then told us to pose for this next pic.
CIMG7354.jpg

We thanked him and were off into the sea of humans. :scared1: I was shocked to see this many people. I mean I know it was morning EMH, but wow! We headed towards The Land to get some Soarin' FPs (which by this time were already at 4pm . Then we made our way over to Nemo

CIMG7355.jpg

CIMG7356.jpg

We explored the aquariums, found Nemo and did Turtle Talk. As we walked out I see all these people just standing around and I'm wondering what's going on. I look again and see it's the LINE into Nemo! :faint: Here's an idea of how long that line was. Ok you know the water feature thing at Nemo with the seagulls? Well it wrapped all around that, then extended out across where you take pics in front of the Nemo character statue (like the one of my bf above). It was crazy.

The times board said Mission Space had a 40 min. wait, which wasn't that bad I guess and we decided to try that out. But first another stop :sad2: . After finding the stupid designated area (which tooks us awhile) we went to MS only to find the wait time was now 60 min. I told the bf no way! Then blamed him for not being able to wait. :snooty: Oh well. Test Track was way out of the question. Just to give you an idea of what the line for TT looked like. Imagine the where MS is. Ok now imagine the line for TT stretching all the way to MS. :faint: Yeah....it was that bad.

So I said, well we're done with rides, even Spaceship Earth had a horrendous line. Off to WS it is!

Here's the Kim Possible station thingy, it's on the way towards the Int'l gateway across from the fountain area thingy on the floor.

CIMG7357.jpg

I decided to start off in Mexico and work our way around. We had ADRs at Cape May and figured by the time we finished WS we could use our FPs for Soarin then head out to dinner.

At least that was the plan.

Up next.....crowds, crowds and more crowds.

I've been so busy at work I almost didn't get to this. :scared1: Oscar night!!! You will all have to dish on it as I didn't get to see it. I will pull up some pics off the web today when I wake up.

Lessa is torturing her mother with 'The Force' and Darth Vadar.

Janet has a bunch of sickos. Jim got sick from 'gracery' shopping.:rotfl2: He must have lost his grace. Jimmy is staying home today. She has discovered the joy of snot in it's many forms.

CE will be MIA she thinks. No internet access at the skiing home. Woody was better.

Carrie posted some terrific pics from her trip.

JV is getting ready for scapping and still cleaning. She is eating subway in the bathtub.

My kids problem ( and mine too) was the Salad at Liberty Tree... NO OPTIONS for Salad Dressing... you get the Rosemary Vinaigrette or what ever it is.. and THAT"S IT. I did not care for it and the kids would not touch it.
We paid Out of Pocket for that meal 3 years ago... kids left hungry. At least I was hoping for a good salad. :scared::mad:

Back is doing better but not totally mended.... but I've moved on to either the "Focker Flu" or my Spring Installment of "Vertigo" and IT'S ONLY FEBRUARY!!:sad2:

It was a bad night. It was so bad... Scott said that he now knows how bad it was in the movie "Daddy Care Care" when Eddie Murphy saw what the kid did in the bathroom when he said... "I MISSED" ( funny scene.. you never saw the batroom you just had this picture in your head... :rotfl2: )
I threw up EVERYWHERE.. Oh well at least HIS BATHROOM IS CLEAN NOW;) I think I'll move on to the Kitchen or the Living Room Next:lmao: .

I'm going back to bed

Morning!

SD and Bob have very kindly given me their disease. :scared1: My nose is all runny and my glands are swollen. Blech. As soon as I get Gus to school, I'm going back to bed.

Poor Bob still felt awful when he left for his flight to CA this morning. I don't know how that's going to work out. Poor guy.

Little "no name" bunny is good. He has a pile of bunny poo a mile high though so we'll be taking care of that later. ewwww. :rotfl2: Gus loves him. He seems to be adjusting pretty well to us.

Ok, hope everyone has a good morning. I'm going to get Gus ready for school.

Z: loving the mini tr so far!!!!

MEL

Love the Mini trippie! The lines sound insane. I am shocked it was so bad.

Great summary Kristel :thumbsup2 That will catch a girl up.

I thought the Oscars were a lot of fun last night. Some of those gowns were amazing. I think i liked Marisa Tomei and Penelope Cruz the best.
